Bridesmaid
Hi I'm Ellie!! I am one of Nicole's current roommates at Milligan, but we've been friends since freshman year. I’m excited to see ways you can both push each other into the Lord's callings for your individual lives, also the food/travel blogs that I know are coming :)
Bridesmaid
YO! My name is Heather (aka Heathbar). Nicole and I lived together in college for three years and shared lots of laughs, tears, and amazing adventures together. I have felt honored to get to see Nicole and Gabe's relationship grow and mature over the last three years and see God move in amazing ways. The way they love others and each other is such a beautiful representation of Christ's love for us, and I'm overjoyed to get to be a part of their BIG day.
Bridesmaid
My name is Cara, but I am also identified as the certified travel buddy, joint humorist, and twin to our lovely bride to be. What a journey it has been to see Nicole and Gabe learn love and self-sacrifice over these past 3 years. They have a knack for loving each other despite the hardships of distance and time, and they exemplify what it means to show grace and growth in a relationship. I am oh so thankful to have known the joy of Nicole day in and day out, & I can’t wait for Gabe to know the same! Cheers to forever, my friends!
Maid of Honor
Nicole is not only my sister but also one of my best friends. She’s intelligent, kind, creative, a goofball, and has always been an amazing role model for me. I know, Nicole, and, the man she loves, Gabe, will live a happy and prosperous life together. I wish you two a long life of memories filled with joy!
Best Man
As the older brother of the groom, I've known Gabe much longer than Nicole (I'm not bragging, it's just true). My current activities primarily include caring for my wife and newly born progeny, worshiping Jesus Christ, and teasing the bride mercilessly. I am a trainer for Quicken Loans, and I live in Redford (AKA Rees-ford), Michigan, where Gabe and Nicole will be living. Since I live only 3 miles from Gabe and Nicole's new place, I may just "drop in" for Nicole's excellent cooking on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Tuesday, Thursday, and weekends. For the wedding, I'm most excited about getting Nicole FINALLY grafted into the family and I'm thankful to God the Father for uniting these two in the promise of marriage, completely washed and perfected by the blood of Jesus.
Groomsman
I'm a music teacher from Ann Arbor, MI, where I completed my Bachelors in Education at Concordia University. I'm originally from Redford, and I grew up with Gabe while attending Metro Detroit Christian Church. We grew to be fast friends and have had a close relationship ever since. I am overjoyed to able to celebrate Gabe and Nicole's wedding with so many close friends and family!
Groomsman
I'm a computer programmer with an art degree and a heart of gold. I'm looking forward to Gabe and Nicole's marriage because Nicole is super cool, probably cooler than Gabe. I've known Gabe since before my earliest memories. Both our parents are pastors at Metro Detroit Christian Church, and for much of our childhood we lived across the block from each other in Redford. I love Gabe like a brother, and more than anything I know that Nicole makes him happy, so that makes me happy. It brings tears to my eyes to see my boy moving up in life, finding a wife and home, and living a life in alignment with the Kingdom of God. I am honored to have had the opportunity to have known such a great and godly man, and I'm excited to continue to know him as he transitions into this next phase of his life.
Groomsman
I grew up in East Tennessee, where I also graduated from Milligan College. I still live in Johnson City, TN, working as the Missions Coordinator at Munsey United Methodist Church. Gabe and I started and graduated college together. Our friendship significantly took root in our finals years of college. Gabe and I roomed together along with three more close friends, and we started to be involved in each other’s life. I often sought Gabe’s wise counsel, then, and still do today. I remember listening to Gabe speak of Nicole thoughtfully, when they began to get to know each other, and I feel privileged to witness them marry, in God’s grace.
Co-Emcee
My name is Julie Plunket, soul friend of the bride since the first day of eighth grade. My favorite thing about Gabe and Nicole is that they work hard to make each other better. Their gifts accent the gifts of the other and I have no doubt that their self-awareness will provide very strong foundations for their forever. I have adored Nicole since the first day we met and now I am happy to watch as Gabe adores Nicole forever. Gabe, I am truly thrilled to share!! A couple for the Kingdom that I love very much. To the Rees’s!!
