Question

Can I Take an Uber From the Airport?

Answer

The Biltmore, the Inn, and The Restoration are all approximately a 25-minute drive from the AVL airport. Lyft, Uber, and taxis are available to and from the airport. Note: Enter "Inn on Biltmore Estate" or "Village Hotel on Biltmore Estate" as your destination. If you simply enter "Biltmore Estate," you'll wind up at the mansion, which is about a 15-minute walk to both hotels.

Question

How Do We Get From Event to Event?

Answer

We have organized shuttles to run every 15 minutes from both the Inn and the Village Hotel Asheville to the venue on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The wedding venue is about a five-minute drive from the Inn and Village Hotel, and all the wedding events, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are in the same location.

Question

What Is the Weather Like This Time of Year?

Answer

Typically, Asheville is pretty warm during the day (think between the mid-70s and mid-80s) and can get a bit chilly at night (no cooler than 60 degrees). The reception will have heaters or air conditioners depending on the weather, but feel free to bring a sweater if you tend to get cold.

Question

What Is the Biltmore?

Answer

The Biltmore was George Washington Vanderbilt II's country estate. It was built between 1889 and 1895, and, at the time, was the largest private residence in the world. It served as home for Vanderbilt until 1930, 15 years after the owner passed away. Today, the mansion is a sprawling museum, and the grounds—all 8,000 acres of them—are designed for public enjoyment.
