How do we get to Asheville, NC?

Answer

There are 3 options: 1) Fly directly into Asheville's airport. The cost will be higher due to the airport's size. Renting a car is highly recommended as Asheville is a small town and ridesharing availability is scarce, especially late at night. 2) Fly to Charlotte's airport and drive to Asheville (about 2 hours). Renting a car will be necessary, but flight cost is lower. 3) Drive to Asheville from your home. This all depends on where you live. Driving from Orlando takes about 9 hours, but you will have your own car when you get to Asheville.

Do we need a car?

Answer

The short answer, yes. The explanation: Asheville does have rideshare companies such as Uber and Lyft available. But, due to Asheville being a smaller town, availability is not always guaranteed, especially at night. Our wedding will end at midnight, and calling a vehicle to come pick you up from inside the Biltmore Estate may prove difficult. If you are staying on the Biltmore property, restaurants and shops are walking distance. You would need transportation to get you to the Diana site though, so a car or carpooling is recommended.

How do we get into The Biltmore Estate on the Wedding day if we are staying off property?

Answer

All you have to do is tell the front gate that you are there for the Almanza/Echeverria Wedding and they will direct you on where to go.

If we are not staying on property, how do we get into the Estate on a day that is not the wedding day or wedding rehearsal day?

Answer

You would need to purchase a ticket to tour the Estate to gain access to the grounds.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The wedding will be outdoors. The wedding ceremony portion will be in an uncovered area (unless it rains, then a clear tarp will be placed). The cocktail hour will be outdoors, but you will have the option to go in and out from the tented reception area. The reception area will be outdoors but completely covered underneath a tent. You will also have the option of spending time outside of the tented area.

There are stairs to access The Diana, but there will also be golf carts for convenience.

Will there be grass? I can't decide whether I should wear wedges or stilettoes.
