During Yosemite's off months, the park closes the main road "Tioga Pass" or the "120" because the snow fall on it reaches un drive-able heights. - Because of the "untouched" theme of Yosemite, there are very limited routes in & out of the park, so when one or two of them closes, the GPS calculates a route going all the way around the park. Tioga Pass opens in June, so this isn't something to worry about for our trip.
Since we are keeping things intimate to our closest family & friends, if your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you!
We love your kids, but we want our wedding to be your night & vacation off! Please bring yourself and whoever else may be listed on your invite and let loose!
One word, beautiful! August in Yosemite is so dreamy. The sun is out, so the temperatures appear high (around 90's), but the dry crisp air doesn't make you feel too hot & sticky!
The best way to get around is by renting a car from the airport in which you are flying into. Everything in California is a little more spaced out then we are used to in Ohio due to the mountainous terrain - so we would definitely suggest having your own form of transportation to be able to do your own exploring.
The ceremony and reception will be at different addresses and you are able to park at both locations. The ceremony has a parking lot, and the reception is at a lodge where there will be street parking.
Unfortunately, there is no Uber :( we are sad too. It's a small town so Uber has yet to make it's way over, so make sure someone in your party will be able to drive responsibly the night of the wedding!
We have made a downloadable map that has the important locations listed on it and its distances from one another on it. It is listed in the "travel" tab under "map."
If you have a specific question, please email candacelynndesign@gmail.com, or message (330) 502 - 2866! We understand that in having a "destination" wedding, there will be more questions, so please ask away so that we can make this event as smooth as possible for you!
