Brooke and Gabi met ten years ago at South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Brooke was there to play soccer, Gabi was there to play tennis. Through the power of Gabi's good looks and great hair and Brooke's beer pong skills, they were brought together. After graduating from SC State, Brooke and Gabi moved down to Miami, Florida to go to graduate school. Gabi got his Masters in Engineering Management and Brooke in School Counseling. Seven years, three apartments, many new friends, and countless beach days later, Brooke and Gabi still live in Miami Beach, Florida.

Gabi's biggest mission - making it a surprise. He had told me we were going to Naples, Florida to watch one of his kids play tennis and I believed him up until the very end. Gabi took me all the way to the west coast of Florida so that he could propose on the beach at sunset. It was perfect.
