It was Lee University that led us to where we are today, and we thank first our Savior for that. It was in a marketing class where our eyes met in fall of 2016. We did not say a word to each other until Grant began a conversation to a guy next to me in class stating he was going to a concert in McMinnville, TN that weekend. With full excitement by over hearing this, I turned around in my seat and said..."McMinnville?! That's where my Nana lives!" Being the nice person he is, he invited me and other friends to the concert, and without hesitation, I accepted the invitation, even though I had never heard of the performer. Turns out, his friends bailed on him and we agreed to go anyway although we really didn't know each other. We drove 2 hours to the concert in his red Jeep Wrangler and talked of the Lord and our visions of life - we also made a stop at Goodwill and if you know Grant and his Sandlot Vintage, this is a regular occurrence today! The concert together was great and we concluded our evening at Waffle House at 2;30am. I knew in that moment if Grant and I were to only be friends, I should not settle for a man any less than a replica of him. After a wonderful evening, I was pleased to get a text from Grant the next day, and that was my hint he was interested in me!
