Maddie and Gabby have been besties since 2009, approximently 5 years after Maddie's birth when Gabby decided she no longer hated her little sister. Ever since then, they have been inseparable. Playing with Monster High Dolls turned into family band practices turned into the most rockin windy city roomates. Maddie is Gabby's rock and built in best friend. There is nobody Gabby would rather go on adventures with, cuddle on the couch next to for movie nights, and tell her deepest secrets to (except Desmond of course). Desmond and Maddie have formed a strong bond over the last 6 years as well, he even attended her Sweet 16! Maddie was born to be Gabby's Maid of Honor, and her time has come. One day, Gabby will be standing by Maddie's side on her special day as well.
James Inglis

James and Desmond met in 2005 on the day of James's birth. Since the beginning, fate has conspired that the two shall eternally be friends by way of brotherhood, and that the two should become better people after being forced to share toys and other things at a young age. James is a mild yet zesty concoction that goes down smooth, a concoction that, whether you notice or not, expands both your mind and your heart.

Katie and Gabby met in Suessical the Musical in 2011 and have not left each others side since. Katie was the best friend Gabby had been longing and searching for, they are two halves of a whole. They had countless sleepovers, performed together, and even lived together for approximately 30 days when Katie needed somewhere to crash before so rudely running away to London. When Gabby went through a rough patch Katie welcomed her to Chicago with open arms where they got to be besties in the same place once again and it was magical and awesome and wonderful. Gabby and Katie are a duo that have and will continue to stand the test of time.
Josh Wagstaff

Josh and Desmond met in 2019 when Josh, still in high school at the time, came to visit Gabby in Oregon. Though their friendship took a little time to blossom, the soon-to-be brothers-in-law share goofy personalities and enjoy making little songs. Josh pairs his loving heart with shocking sounds, sudden movements, and inexplicable turns of phrase that result in cocktail both powerfully spicy and sweet. Anybody lucky enough to be Josh's friend will be forever granted a defender who never gives up and a supporter who never backs down.
Megan Lucas

Megan is a light in the darkness, a shoulder to lean on, a best friend. If you haven't met Megan I highly suggest you go say hi when you see them because your life will be changed forever. Gabby and Megan met in high school when they were newbies together and Megan dressed up like Mini Mouse for Halloween and straightened their hair every day. And now here they are, a decade older (and cooler) still soulmates just the same as the day they met, going through all the big life stuff by each others side. Megan is so smart and passionate about the people and things they care about. Megan is the person Gabby calls when she needs advice and is always down for a coffee and chat. Without Megan, Gabby wouldn't be the person she is today. Living together in Chicago allowed them to create their own little chosen family, and Megan will forever have a piece of both Gabby and Desmond's hearts.
Kevin Snow

Kevin and Desmond met in the same kindergarten class where they declared eternal friendship with each other and their classmate Zach S. Over the course of the next 20 years, the two would spend their time together eating candy, going on walks, and playing Mario Kart Wii. Kevin has proven time and time again that no matter the time or place, Desmond can reach out and Kevin will be there for him. Though neither Kevin nor Desmond have seen or heard from Zach S. much since the fourth grade, the former two share an eternally boyish bond. Even after death, they shall be seen debating trivial topics and walking down roads with no sidewalks.
Rebekah Nichols

Gabby and Rebekah met at the scary and vulnerable age of 15 and have seen each other grow up. Rebekah has always been a safe place for Gabby and they have had an incredibly special bond for the last decade that only gets stronger as they continue to grow and evolve. Gabby is so blessed to have Rebekah, Marnie, and baby Zeke in her life and can't express how much she loves their family. Rebekah has always had Gabby's back and has been honest with Gabby when she needs to hear tough truths. Gabby relies on Rebekah to keep her in the loop of the latest disasters that could kill her and is hoping Bekah will let her and Desmond crash in her bunker when the time comes. Rebekah is so intelligent and an absolute blast to hang out with. She pushes Gabby to be a better version of herself and Gabby is so thankful Rebekah will be a part of this milestone moment.

Gus and Desmond met in Oregon in 2019. Over the course of several years, Desmond and Gus have formed a glowing friendship. Gus is true of heart and mind. Blessed with the excellent gifts of honesty and strength, she gives her unique perspective to those she is close to, encouraging them to be their true selves. Gus is a cool and fun human that will support and love you in the good times and bad.
Miranda Bernhard

When Gabby started college in 2017 she often found herself not having anyone to eat dinner with because she didn't have any friends (embarrassing I know). Instead, she would sit in her dorm and eat ramen noodles and other things you can make with a kettle and microwave. Gabby knew Miranda from choir and they got along famously, so one day Gabby got up the courage to ask Miranda if they could go to the dining hall and eat dinner together. Miranda said yes and from there a beautiful relationship developed! Gabby and Miranda didn't leave each others sides, they were best friends and experienced many big moments together, including when Gabby and Desmond met and fell in love! Miranda has been a shoulder to cry and a rock solid support system in life's most challenging moments. Living together gave Gabby so many amazing memories and even though they live far apart now, things always fall right back into place when they are together. Gabby is so thankful for their friendship and can't wait to have this special time to be together again.

Sam and Desmond became friends while attending school in Sunny Salem, OR. Sam is a kind and gentle soul who takes great pride and joy from bringing happiness to others. He is extraordinarily talented at setting the mood with his fun lights, games, and countless other activities. To be a friend of Sam's is to frequently receive a Goldilocksian "just-right" gift from a benevolent creator, a gift that is always exquisitely wrapped and filled with enchanting yet tasteful surprises.
Jewell Jeong

Let me take you back to 2006(ish) to a phone call between two cousins obsessed with Barbie's Princess and the Pauper movie. Gabby and Jewell tirelessly planned their double wedding to Prince Domenic and Julian the Tutor down to the smallest of details. Even though that double wedding didn't quite come to fruition, one thing hasn't changed, Jewell and Gabby getting to celebrate this huge moment together. Gabby has been so lucky to have such an amazing cousin who has the ability to brighten the darkest of days. Those hour long phone calls didn't stop at age 7, they've just changed to accommodate space for the many changes, challenges, and new dreams they can conquer together. Gabby admires Jewell's ability to come through hardship with a smile and is so thankful that Jewell is here with her during this exciting time.

Lacey and Desmond became first acquainted as employees in a hellish food-safety laboratory in Niles, IL. Lacey may be the sweetest and most dedicated friend that has ever lived. With the devotional heart of a puppy dog and intuitive mind of a human, Lacey is a white-hot vibrating sphere of chaos and friendship whose loving warmth can be felt plainly from 93,000,000 miles away. To be a friend to Lacey is to constantly receive an extraordinarily big hug from somebody with exceptionally strong arms; a hug that, though powerful, never comes at the wrong time.
Oliver Sterling-Angus

When Gabby first met her best friend Megan's partner, she didn't expect to gain another best friend, but here we are! Oliver is one the most hilarious, caring, and dedicated people Gabby has ever met. He has taught Gabby that nothing is impossible if you're willing to work hard and put yourself out there. Over the past few years, Oliver has become a part of Gabby and Desmond's chosen family. They have had countless meals, movie nights, and celebrations together, and Oliver is a part of many large moments in Gabby and Desmond's lives. Gabby and Desmond had a small argument over who's party Oliver would be in and Gabby is happy that she won and got Oliver as a Bridesman. Gabby and Oliver have many similarities, including truly caring what piece they are in board games and always getting the most comfortable spot on the couch (sorry Megan and Desmond but y'all chose this). Oliver is a voice of reason as well as the life of the party. We love you Oliver, we are so thankful you are a bestie to us both.

Hunter is my cousin. My first memories of Hunter are from when I was about 6 years old and our family would convene in Wyoming. Hunter, a year older than me, did not want to play, but that didn't stop me from knocking on the cabin door each morning to ask if he wanted to play. The answer was usually no, but his parents made him play with me anyway. We flash forward to the contemporary era, and we both live in Seattle. We decide to link up for a double date with our partners Gabby and Simon, and it is shockingly chill and nice. So, we decide to do it again. Hunter is a gentle soul whose heart glows with kindness and whose mind glows with niceness. He sends pleasant, calming waves throughout whatever space he may be in and, unlike 7 year old Hunter, will gladly grace you with his presence.
