Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (commonly referred to as Sea-Tac) is the main airport serving the Seattle area. Conveniently located about 14 miles south of downtown Seattle and 15 miles north of Tacoma, it’s approximately a 25-minute drive to Federal Way, where our wedding venue, the Dumas Bay Center, is located. For our wedding on September 20, 2025, you have the flexibility to stay in either Seattle or Tacoma, depending on your preferences. Federal Way is situated right between the two cities, making it convenient no matter where you choose to stay. Seattle offers vibrant nightlife, famous attractions, and iconic views, while Tacoma has a more relaxed pace, charming museums, and scenic waterfronts. Transportation options from the airport include rental cars, Uber, Lyft, and shuttle services. Public transit is also available, though a car may be the easiest way to get to our venue. Depending on traffic, travel times can vary, so we recommend allowing extra time to ensure a smooth trip. For a seamless travel experience, Sea-Tac offers a variety of dining options, shops, and amenities. Security lines can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes, so plan accordingly.
