What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony so that you have time to park in the nearby parking garage.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-Formal. Think suits (with or without a jacket - it will be June in Texas!), nice slacks, button up shirts, nice blouses, and long dresses and skirts that reach at least your mid-thigh.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon, Bed, Bath, and Beyond, as well as Zola. Please look for our registry wishes under the 'Registry' section on this website. Our registry on this website has links to both Amazon and Bed, Bath, and Beyond for your assistance. We appreciate any gift you choose but please do not feel pressured to spend any further money on us!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Of course. However, there will not be any facilities available for them so please make arrangements if you are not able to watch them during the ceremony or reception.

Yes, if your invitation shows "and guest."

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We do! We have a block of rooms reserved at the Hyatt Place Dallas/Las Colinas as well as Fairfield Inn & Suites. Please check the 'Travel' section on this website for more information.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Of course! Let us know if you have dietary restrictions, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you. You can let us know either when you RSVP or through Brittany Shidham at 682-213-1410.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is! Beside the venue is a large parking garage and each vehicle parked inside will receive a parking voucher. If you park on level 1 then you can walk out to the ceremony space. If you park on level 2 or 3 you will need to walk down the stairs next to the building.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are currently planning on an outdoor ceremony on the banks of the Mandalay Canal. Cocktail hour will also take place outside. However, misters will be brought in to help with the Texas heat. The reception will take place inside.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Unfortunately we haven't perfected our ability to accurately predict the weather months ahead so please check back a week or so before the event.

Will there be an open bar?

There will not be any alcohol at the wedding but water and soda will be served.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony to post on social media?

Answer

We respectfully ask that all phones are turned to silent or off during the ceremony to not disturb others. Once it ends you may turn back on and use them all you like during cocktail hour and during the reception.

Can I bring my gift to the wedding?

Your presence is present enough, but should you wish to bring a gift to our wedding, there will be a gift table for your convenience.
