Our traditional Indian wedding is actually the first event of the weekend because it needed to take place on an auspicious (lucky) day based on our star signs, location of birth, and other important factors as determined by the priest. There are various components to the ceremony, so see the link below for a PDF of the different rituals.
Mehendi is a pre-wedding event, traditionally between the bride and her friends. We are expanding our mehendi event to include dances, entertainment, as well as the groom and his friends.
Haldi is a pre-wedding event in which haldi (turmeric), oil, and water are applied to the bride and groom. This mixture is believed to bless the couple.
