Flight
Depending on your personalized travel itinerary, most guests will find it easier to fly into Athens International Airport (ATH). Our venue is conveniently located approximately 30–40 minutes from the airport, making transportation simple and accessible. Regardless of where you plan to explore within Greece, Athens International Airport is typically the most affordable and convenient option for arrivals and departures. For our family and friends traveling from the Northeast, flights from JFK to Athens often offer the best value.
Rental Car
There are two common and convenient ways to travel while in Greece: 1) Renting a Car: Renting a car offers flexibility and ease, especially if you plan to explore on your own schedule. We recommend booking through a well-known rental company to avoid any issues. Manual cars are more common and typically more affordable than automatics. 2) Rideshare or Private Transportation: Rideshare services and private transport companies are also popular options and can be just as cost-effective as renting a car, with the added benefit of less responsibility. Using Uber is recommended over traditional taxis, as taxi fares may be higher and pricing can vary.
Travel Note
If your travel plans include exploring the Greek Islands, ferries are the most convenient and budget-friendly way to get around. We highly recommend booking your ferry rides in advance to ensure availability and the best options. For easy planning and reservations, Ferry Hopper is a great resource to use. Most ferry routes depart from the Port of Piraeus, located just outside of Athens and easily accessible from the city and airport.
