Our story started the way all great romances do: with chlorine, sunburns, and a healthy amount of workplace chaos. We met in college while working as lifeguards at a country club. While our official responsibilities included watching the pool and enforcing the occasional "no running" rule, our real talent was surviving shifts under a boss who seemed determined to keep life interesting. Nothing says friendship like exchanging confused looks from opposite sides of the pool deck after another one of his legendary decisions. For a long time, we were just friends. We spent shifts swapping stories, laughing through shifts, and being a great team. Somewhere between endless summer camp days, inside jokes, and arguing about whose turn it was to clean up after swim lessons, we realized we actually liked spending time together, even when we weren't getting paid for it. Without realizing it, we were building something much more important than either of us knew at the time. Over the years, we've shared adventures, celebrated milestones, navigated career changes, and faced life's challenges side by side. Through it all, we've learned that no matter what comes our way, we're strongest when we're together. Looking back, it's funny to think that we showed up to that country club expecting nothing more than a summer job. Instead, we found a best friend, a teammate, and the person we wanted to build a life with. Turns out the best thing either of us found at the country club wasn't a job, it was each other. ❤️
