We met on the dating app Hinge in September 2015, and our two swipes were definitely right! For our first date, we got cocktails at the Culver Hotel, where we immediately bonded over our passion for movies, Southern California upbringings, crazy experiences in entertainment PR, and lifelong love of chocolate cake. After a month of dating, including a trip to Universal Studios and some delicious grilled cheese sandwiches at a bar disguised as a barber shop, Matt asked Lindsay to be exclusive while looking out at the ocean at the Santa Monica Pier. In true elementary school style, she asked, "Do you mean boyfriend and girlfriend?" Thankfully, the answer was yes. A few months later, we went to go see the classic romance "Dirty Grandpa," which currently holds an 11% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes. We laughed the whole time anyway. Later that night, we said "I love you" for the first time. Fast forwarding a few years, we decided to move in together over margaritas at our favorite restaurant chain, El Torito. On October 6, 2019, Matt proposed during a hike at the Torrey Pines State Reserve, one of Lindsay's favorite places in the world. We spent that evening eating pasta, drinking wine and dancing to groovy love songs by Barry White. It was truly the best day of our life together (thus far!). We can't wait to say our vows at the Rancho Valencia Resort, only 10 minutes away from the house Lindsay grew up in, on October 2, 2021. We hope to see you there! Love, Matt & Lindsay
