We're getting married

Our story begins in the fall of 2023. Both Hannah and Josh were overwhelmed and frustrated with online dating apps and often vented to their friends about the sheer ridiculousness of dating apps. However, stars aligned with a connection that would bring the two together! Josh taught and worked with Alex Anderson at Fall Creek Intermediate. Alex’s sister, Alyssa, is best friends with Hannah! After Hannah and Josh matched on Bumble, Alex told Josh, “that’s my sister’s best friend, you should go on a date with her!” Word spread, and Alyssa called Hannah later that day and questioned, “Did you match with Josh Heideman? You both are the same person! Hannah, you should definitely go on a date with him!” Both reluctant, it was on September 28th 2023, that Hannah and Josh went on their first date at Four Day Ray and the rest is history! There was an instant connection to which they planned to hang out the very next day for a Homemade Taco Night!

Hannah and Josh’s story continues as their love was guided by forgiveness, personal growth, and faith in Jesus. Both Hannah and Josh emphasized connection and always said that they both hoped someday to build a foundation with someone that was their best friend! Both enjoying the outdoors, they enjoyed evening walks with their crazy dog Mattie, summer days on the boat, outdoor concerts, and game nights with friends! Both began to share the same interests! Hannah became a hiker, a Pacers fan, and a runner, while Josh became a Taylor Swift fan, a boater, and more organized! (This is debatable!) They both love exploring new places like their trip to Asheville, North Carolina, hiking a mountain in the pouring rain, kayaking with dolphins in Florida, hiking in Sedona, and much more!

As the two became inseparable, and after two years of dating, Josh began planning to pop the question to Hannah! On the morning of Saturday, November 8th, Josh planned out an entire day of outdoor walking at Fort Harrison state park, pizza at Daniel’s Vineyard, dinner at Restoration Hardware, and espresso martinis at the Eagle’s Nest in Indianapolis! All of this kept a secret, but Hannah knew that “something” was happening on this day! Josh had Hannah’s sister, Andi, stake out to take pictures of the scenic event! In the morning, Josh, Hannah, and their dog Mattie went for a walk in Fort Harrison when they stopped to take a scenic photo. It was then when Josh asked the question, “Will you marry me?” to a emotional and overjoyed Hannah! Their wedding ceremony on 9/5/2026 at Daniels Vineyard!
