Take the Balboa Ferry to Balboa Island!! Little known fact: Balboa Island is actually three islands – Balboa Island, Little Balboa Island, and Collins Island. Marine Avenue is the main street and is lined with quaint shops, art galleries, and restaurants. Balboa Island is known for it's walking path circling the perimeter, the annual Balboa Island Parade and Art Walk, and, last but not least, the delicious Balboa Bar – vanilla ice cream dipped in chocolate with assorted toppings! Yum!!
You can enjoy the 9-hole golf course located within the hotel, with a beautiful backdrop of the beach!
Nearly 4,000 acres of pristine California coastal beauty lies the Crystal Cove State Park. Featuring 2,400 acres of hiking trails, over 3 miles of beachfront, tide pools, beach cottages, and a great little restaurant called the Beach Comber. California how it used to be. The perfect destination for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers!
Visiting Southern California has all the perks, including the original Disneyland only 30 minutes from the hotel! You can get a full glimpse of all of California at Disneyland's sister park, California Adventure. If you're just interested in getting a taste of Disney, you can always checkout Downtown Disney! They have tons of shops and restaurants for the Disney inner child!
South Coast Plaza is another shopping destination--one of Orange County's largest premier shopping center. Several major department stores hundreds of boutiques such as Louis Vuitton, D&G, Dior and many more. Many dining options nearby. Metro Pointe is across the street, featuring outlets like Saks Off 5th and Nordstrom Rack.
SoBeCa District is one of my favorite places in SoCal!! They have unique shops and restaurants! My favorite restaurant here is Habana--amazing Cuban food! This is definitely a place to check out while you're in town! Mesa has a phenomenal ambiance and great music--wonderful place for date night! Old Vine Cafe is another great place to get a glass of wine and catch up with friends!
Anaheim Packing District has local vendors and bars in a renovated, historic packing district!!! It's another one of my favorite places!! There is a hidden speakeasy that can harness a mean drink if you find it ;) At the packing district there is always something happening--from live music, to speakers, to yoga, and much more!!
