If you have additional questions to those listed below, please email us at fudgegildartwedding@gmail.com.
Question

Is there a shuttle to and from the Hampton Inn Waterville?

Answer

No, however we've included information about cabs/taxis and Ubers so you can travel safely. Elm City Taxi - 207-872-2300 JP Taxi - 207-453-7567

Question

Are there Ubers or Lyfts in Waterville & Oakland?

Answer

It's hit or miss, but there's a few taxi companies. We suggest calling ahead. Elm City Taxi - 207-872-2300 JP Taxi - 207-453-7567

Question

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Answer

Comfortable ones, because you'll be doing a lot of dancing, but also because there will be some walking on wooded paths and grass.

Question

What's parking like at Alden Camps?

Answer

There is VERY limited parking on the property and we suggest carpooling whenever possible. If you are staying at the Hampton Inn we suggest leaving your car and taking a taxi or carpooling with a designated driver.

Question

If I need assistance walking to the ceremony site, what should I do?

Answer

Email us at fudgegildartwedding@gmail.com and we can help make proper arrangements for you!

Question

Are masks/negative COVID-19 tests required to attend?

Answer

No, they are not required, but if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask over the weekend or getting tested before - feel free. If you feel unwell leading up to the wedding weekend, for the safety of our most vulnerable guests - please stay home.

Question

What's for dinner?

Answer

BBQ! Some vegetarian and gluten free options will be available for those who request them with their RSVP.

Question

What's the deal with breakfast on Saturday?

Answer

Breakfast will take in the farmhouse at Alden Camps on Saturday from 8-10am. Please RSVP to let us know if you will be attending on our RSVP page. Breakfast is continental and open-house style (come and go as you please). Gluten free options will be available.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors?

Answer

We hope not! The ceremony will be under the pine trees on the property, dinner will be served under a tent and dancing will take place in the bar (windows & doors will be open). Bring a jacket, scarf or sweater in case you get chilly!

Question

How long is the drive from Portland to Alden Camps?

Answer

It's about 75 minutes without traffic. Fridays in September are still VERY busy in Maine, please be sure to give yourself enough time to park and walk to the ceremony site at Alden Camps. The ceremony will start at 4pm.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Please go to the RSVP menu item on this website. You will be asked to RSVP to two "events": Wedding & Reception and a Farewell breakfast on Saturday. Please kindly reply to both events by Sunday, August 1st so we can plan accordingly. Additional questions? Please email us at fudgegildartwedding [at] gmail.com.
