It was a cool July morning as we made our way down the quiet streets of Hallstatt, Austria to the lake. My heart was pounding with anticipation. I had planned this trip for months and I knew that today was the day I was going to propose to my partner. I made my way to a small wooden bridge that spanned the lake, the perfect spot for what I had in mind. As we stepped out onto the bridge, I could feel the cool morning air against my skin. I took a deep breath and got down on one knee, holding out a small velvet box containing a sparkling silver ring. Michelle's eyes widened in surprise as she realized what was happening.
