The Wedding Website of Jamie Frost and Cody Thomson
Our best friends wrote some nice things about us (for the most part). Get to know them and you'll grow to love them as much as we do.

Kelly Chang

Maid of Honor

Jamie is the type of friend who puts a brave face on and teaches you how to surf even if there are 100 baby sharks in the water. She is both an egg sandwich and Michelin star. She is loyal and kind and sees the world through watercolor glasses. She is my forever travel buddy, mother to my dog niece, and best friend for over a decade?! Under Cody’s athletic golden boy exterior is a gregarious, silly, and gooey-for-Jamie inside. He always has an interesting conversation to bring to the table. He’s an incredible friend and someone you can count on. I’ll always cherish our trips to Joshua tree and all of the laughs we’ve shared. I never want to stop hyping up this couple! Counting down the days until we’re all dancing and celebrating J+C in SB!

Felicia Lim

Maid of Honor

I met Jamie our freshman year of college. Little did I know that upon our first interaction, it became her life's mission to make me her best friend. She found out where I lived, regularly showed up at my door unannounced, and when we moved into the same house our sophomore year, she would sit in my room and wait for me to come back from class. It was definitely not the other way around and I definitely wasn’t the one doing the stalking here... anyway I met Cody our freshman year of the real world and oddly enough, his life's mission was the EXACT SAME as Jamie's!!!!!! He even took it so far as to moving in with my future bf just to get closer to me. I was stunned at how closely his values and goals aligned with Jamie’s and knew immediately that they had to meet. The rest is history.

Jessica Ognibene

Bridesmaid

Jamie and I have been friends since we were two. Together we rode around town on our yellow beach cruisers, worked on our tans by the pool, and sang (croaked more likely...) our hearts out in marathon sessions of karaoke revolution. While it seems like we end up living further apart with each passing year, I'm lucky to know I'll always have her as a friend and that I get to be a part of this next adventure she and Cody are taking together!

Katy Crown

Bridesmaid

I have known Jamie for about eight years. I was making my way to the east side of LA and she had recently moved back to the city after living abroad. I learned fairly quickly after meeting her that Jamie is sneakily one of the funniest people I know. After that realization, there was no getting rid of me. Even after all this time I find myself gravitating towards her at every party, every trip out of town, literally any time I am in her presence, excited to hear her observations and insights, and sometimes to make my own ridiculous comments just to see if I can get her to say "Katy!" When Cody and Jamie first started dating, my favorite pastime at parties was telling them in a loud whisper that they are my favorite couple. I am honored to be a part of my favorite couple's wedding day, standing as close to Jamie as she'll let me.

I am so happy to be a part of such a monumental event in my sister's life. I have spent the past 26 years looking up to Jamie as the best sister and mentor I could ever ask for. I am so happy to know that you have a great life ahead of you with Cody. And Cody, you told me at the beginning, I’ll never beat you on the links… your days are nearing thin. Love you both.

Danny Leon

Best Man

I want to be very clear. I love Cody and Jamie. Recently, we (along with my fiancé Raquel) traversed the great Central California coast by car to the land of bubbles and shellfish: Carmel-By-The-Sea. It was an absolute blast of a day and a cherished memory I will forever hold dearly. We drank champagne, we ate oysters, we told stories, we laughed, we argued over DJing privileges as my fellow travel mates grew weary of the same post-90s emo rock playlist that I had been playing on repeat for over 2.5 hours. It’s a beautiful thing when you can just be present with the people that you love. The only bummer was the 30-minute period where Cody wouldn’t speak to me unless I addressed him as “Big Sur”. I thought it was kind of a weird request, but I guess he was just really inspired by the beauty around us.

Groomsman

Cody has been a dear and true friend dating back to the days of Redwood Middle School / Myspace / Rex Grossman’s Chicago Bears / when the Toppers Pizza on Moorpark shared a parking lot with Taco Bell (choose whichever frame of reference best suits you). Ever the competitor, Cody was a founding member of numerous teams that defined our youth: the ShadNo scooter team, XTreme Team, and our cul-de-sac football team, to name a few. As we grew older, we ran fewer routes and rode our bikes a little more (easier on the knees). I hold so closely onto the memories of riding with CT along the ocean’s edge in Ventura and looking out over our hometown from the hills of Wildwood. Cody’s humor, thoughtfulness, and dedication to betterment of self have been sources of heavy inspiration over the years. I’m full of glad and pride at the privilege of being by Cody’s side as he marries Jamie, another dear and true friend. Along with a profound love for Cody Thomson, Jamie and I share a source of occupational trauma via the labor of teaching. The qualities that make Jamie a great teacher are also the ones that make her a great partner: a room-filling warmth, a low tolerance for bullshit, a deeply caring heart. In addition to the work she does, Jamie’s infatuation with and devotion to her partner inspires me even more than the impeccable fashion sense they both share. Seriously, I can’t wait to see the wedding day fits. I love them both so much.

I’ve been throwing gas and hitting dingers with Cody since we first needed a jock strap. And I met J-Frost-The-Boss about a decade ago when I lived with her fellow UCSB college friend, Felicia. They were part of an infectiously dope squirrel squad, and we all instantly became friends. Some might be quick to assume that Cody—a college athlete—is the more athletic of the two. Having been their rivals on the shuffleboard table, Kristin and I have experienced the J-Frost finesse and touch that surpasses the strength of CT. It’s a nonchalant, cavalier approach with which Frosty decimates her opponents. They’re quite the formidable duo both on and off the shuff table. Cody and Jamie, you are so meant for each other and I am so thrilled to have y’all in my life. And though I may secretly dread my inevitable shuffleboard losses, I love you guys and cannot wait to celebrate ❤️❤️❤️

Hey everybody, *claps hands into mic*. I met Cody on the baseball team at Penn. It was clear from the beginning he’d be a good teammate: he was dependable for a late night snack and there for you when you needed to be picked up, in my case literally (and one time my dads). Are there pirates in Santa Barbara? Beyond a good teammate, he became a better friend - always up for a good time, open-minded and willing to make the best of any situation. Let me provide an example. It’s Oct. 2016, Cody arrives in Chicago via a 1-way ticket. We hang for 2 weeks during the Cubs pennant run, then he shares that this girl he started seeing (Jamie) is coming to see him. Says he plans to go to Wrigley, a bucket list item. And I think to myself “wow, he must really like her to want to share this moment”. The next morning, to my wonderful delight, I got to witness him ask her about the game. With pride, he makes the purchase on his phone in front of us. Shocked, we ask about the price given the going rates, and he responds - “right? I got a great seat! It’ll be awesome” (singular). After 30 seconds of silence, Jamie says “my spa day that you are paying for will be too!” I’ve liked her ever since. We all know Cody enjoys social validation, so here it goes. You did good. You and Jamie will be very happy. Heck, I’ll go as far as to say this— she’ll make you happier than those pants from the sock-shop in the Scottish Highlands. Because amongst many things, she actually fits you perfectly.

Cody and I met on pretty much the first day of freshman year. There were two things that stuck out to me that night. The first was that I knew absolutely nobody and Cody seemed to have a pack of friends already, but that didn’t stop him from going out of his way to make sure I was included. That one little act was the beginning of a lifelong friendship. The second thing I remember was Cody taking a seat that night on a stoop in West Philadelphia only to have a 50-something couple open the door and ask what in the world he thought he was doing. At that point, being the selfless man he is, he offered them each a swig of vodka out of a plastic bottle to which they graciously replied, “leave or I’ll call the cops”.

Cody Dillabough

Groomsman

My name is (also) Cody, and I had the pleasure of meeting Cody in a lot tighter quarters than either of us would've liked as we divided up our shoebox of a shared dorm room at university. Who would have thought, two baseball-playing Codys living together in college, with clumsy nicknames appearing organically like "California Cody", or "Canadian Cody" to help differentiate us. And these nicknames were needed, as we quickly became inseparable friends thanks to our shared interests in music, deep conversation, and philosophizing about anything and everything. That friendship only grew stronger throughout our four years in college and continued after college with many a boys' trip and most recently a couples visit with the lovely Jamie to us in London.

Luke LaPorta

Groomsman

Ten years ago, I moved into a 3-bedroom house in the Echo Park neighborhood of Los Angeles with Cody and a 22-year-old psych-rock trustafarian by the name of Jacqui. Cody and I quickly bonded over our love for D’angelo and THE Chicago Bears and became besties instantaneously. Not long after we became acquainted with the neighborhood, Cody met THE Jamie. Jamie and I quickly bonded over our love for margaritas and Andre Ethier. Fast forward to present day and these seemingly random common interests still hold importance. Not only do I still live in the same neighborhood now with one of Jamie’s best friends (love u fifi), but I’m also on another level with D’angelo, and drink margaritas constantly. You could say that Jamie and Cody really set me up for success and happiness in Los Angeles. I may never leave so long as they make their long-awaited return. Go Bears!

Tom Gelinas

Groomsman

Cody and I met in 1st grade at Madroña Elementary where we became friends. We played on numerous baseball teams throughout elementary, middle school, and high school years and made many good memories in our adolescent years. Our friendship formed into more of a brotherhood in our adult years and after 25 years of knowing Cody, I still consider him to be one of my closest lifelong friends. Jamie and I first met in LA at Cody and Luke’s house while I was up for a weekend trip. I immediately knew she was a good match for Cody after spending time with her that weekend. I could tell she had a great balance of being the opposite personality from Cody while also having a lot of his same interests. After years of dating Cody, Jamie and I got to know each other even better from group trips to Baja, Newport Beach, and San Diego and I am so happy to know her and have her in my life.

Trevor Crown

Groomsman

My name's Trevor, and I've known Cody since the summer before third grade, when we competed together for the Conejo Valley Little League All-Stars, both of us equally talented and equally deserving of our respective spots on the team, neither of us a clear outlier easily distracted in the outfield by bees. From peewee teammates to neighbors in Echo Park, we've grown closer with each passing year, and he has kept me laughing for almost a quarter-century now. I'll be honored to stand alongside him while he marries Jamie, who became a true friend very early on in their relationship, and who I've seen bring out the best in Cody since Day 1, and who can transform at any moment into Miami's own homegrown hip-hop sensation Pitbull.
