Fly into: Bangor or Bar Harbor
Bangor Airport (BGR) is the main airport for that area, a little over an hour drive from downtown Bar Harbor. Various rental car agencies are available in BGR as well as a shuttle to Bar Harbor that runs every afternoon. Check the link below for timetable & details. Bar Harbor Airport (BHB) is the easiest option (15 minutes from downtown Bar Harbor) but only has flights from Boston.
