Craft fair/marketplace, parade & band happening on July 4th in downtown Bar Harbor
Hike Acadia National Park
Take the Island Explorer Shuttle from the Village Green, right in downtown Bar Harbor. Route 3 (Sand Beach) will take you to Otter Cliff & Sand Beach, which have some great day hike options. We love the Beehive Trail (moderate) or if you have some extra time to spare, Precipice Trail (difficult)
Walk around Downtown
Grab an ice cream cone (fresh blueberry softserve from CJ's Big Dipper) and walk around downtown Bar Harbor.
Popovers @ Jordan Pond House
You can drive there, bike there or take the Island Explorer Shuttle (Jordan Pond route or Loop Road route) - no matter how you get there, you have to try a popover (or 12)
Bike the Carriage Trails
Rent a bike at Acadia Bike and ride around town, or out to Sand Beach (~5 miles) or ride the carriage trails out to Jordan Pond (https://www.acadiabike.com/carriageroadsandroutes)
Schooner Sunset Sail
Hop aboard the Schooner Margaret Todd which sets sail three times daily. We recommend the sunset sail - make sure you pack warm clothes and some adult beverages.
