As soon as you can! Our wedding falls during the busy fall season in Virginia, and local hotels and Airbnbs tend to book up months in advance most of the time. To guarantee a spot (and take advantage of our discounted room blocks), or booking at some of the local B&B and AirBnB's down the road and closest to the wedding venue, Sylvanside Farm, we highly recommend booking your room sooner rather than later. You can find all the booking links, websites and details on our Travel page!
All guests should arrive by 3:15pm, but no earlier than 3pm. To help make the day run as smoothly as possible, we have a few important reminders regarding timing and parking: • Arrival Time: Please plan to arrive by 3:15 PM, but no earlier than 3pm. This will give you plenty of time to park, get settled and find a seat before the ceremony begins. • Ceremony Start: The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30 PM. • Late Arrival Parking: For the safety and experience of all guests, the main parking lot will be closed once the ceremony begins. If you arrive after 3:30 PM, you will be required to park on the side of the road and walk in to avoid disrupting the ceremony. Thank you so much for helping us make our special day perfect, safe travels and we can’t wait to see you there and celebrate with each and every one of you!
PLEASE NOTE: All guests should arrive by 3:15pm, but no earlier than 3pm. Our ceremony kicks off promptly at 3:30 PM. To prevent disruptions, the venue will close the main parking lot once the ceremony starts so we just wanted to note that late arrivals past 3:30pm will have to park on the side of the road and walk in for the ceremony & we want to ensure that you can secure a spot, get settled & find your seat before the ceremony! We can't wait to celebrate with you! - We will have parking on site and parking will hold up to 225 cars. There will be staff assistance with greeting and guest parking and staff assistance with golf cart transport as needed for any wedding guests from the parking lot to getting around anywhere on the farm and or anywhere on the venue if needed and also for those with mobility issues or if you should need special assistance. - Be mindful of your transportation back to your hotel! Sylvanside is nestled in the heart of rural Virginia out in the country so there is not always 100% guaranteed availability of rideshare services like Ubers going back to your hotel or accommodations, however, there are several taxi services that are available that service Sylvanside Farm and you may find them on our Travel section of the website. -We are planning for an outdoor ceremony, so dress appropriately as it will be fall and there may be a crisp breeze so for ladies a long dress and a cardigan or warm shawl is highly recommended and a long sleeved dress shirt and light coats are recommended for the gentlemen. Our reception will be held indoors in the Poplar Barn.
The wedding will take place at Sylvanside Farm, 19606 Telegraph Springs Road, Purcellville, VA 20122.
Sylvanside Farm, established in 1774, reminds visitors of a small village in the European countryside. The goal in hosting weddings is to preserve Loudoun's farming heritage and beautiful rural landscape. Our wedding ceremony will be overlooking the beautiful pond. Afterwards, all of our wedding guests will enjoy a cocktail reception in the Stone Barn while watching the Clydesdales or playing lawn games, later moving to the Poplar Barn for an evening reception to celebrate with us for the remainder of the evening! As you walk around the property, you will find it will be abundant in fall colors of red, yellow, orange and many others as our wedding is during the peak of Autumn. As you walk around you may see the formal English Garden or see the weeping cherry tree and much more. We can not wait to see you there!
Yes, there is on-site parking available for up to 225 cars. All guests should arrive by 3:15pm, but no earlier than 3pm. Our ceremony will kick off promptly at 3:30 PM. To prevent disruptions, the main parking lot will be closed once the ceremony starts so it is important to note that late arrivals past 3:30pm will have to park on the side of the road and walk in. We can't wait to celebrate with you! Additionally, please note while ridesharing (Uber/Lyft) may possibly be available to the wedding venue in the afternoon, they are not always 100% available from Sylvanside in the evening as it is nestled in the heart of rural Virginia if you plan to enjoy the bar later in the evening, but please do note that there are several local taxi services that will service to and pick up from Sylvanside Farm that we have posted on our Travel section. If you are not using a local taxi service, we encourage driving your own vehicle or carpooling and or having a designated driver to ensure everyone gets home safe!
Although we absolutely love your little ones, this may not be the most enjoyable & appropriate event for children as it will be geared toward adults and our wedding venue has noted that no children apart from the wedding party are allowed due to safety concerns and the potential for children being left unattended on the property during the event so, unfortunately, we regretfully can’t accommodate everyone's children at our wedding. We appreciate your understanding and we hope that you will see this as an opportunity to let your hair down or take your hat off, relax and enjoy the celebration with us; we can not wait to celebrate with you!
We want you to be comfortable, but we also love to dress up! For our November celebration, the dress code is Semi-Formal attire and since it will be Autumn, please dress accordingly for the fall weather! For Women: Long dresses are highly recommended or dressy jumpsuits and we would definitely recommend bringing a wrap, coat, or pashmina, as the Virginia evening air can be chilly. For Men: A nice dress shirt or dress shirt and tie, or a sport coat with dress trousers. A Note on Footwear: Our ceremony will be held on grass and we plan to be outside for part of the day for the ceremony and cocktail hour, please be sure to wear comfortable shoes and try to avoid pointed heels as the wedding will be outdoors on grass and we don't want you sinking into the grass or ruining your heels so please just be mindful of that. Wedges, block heels or cowgirl boots will make walking on the grounds much easier. Although it is absolutely not required, please know that cowboy boots and cowgirl boots are always welcome & encouraged too! Lastly, please kindly refrain from wearing white, cream, ivory, etc. :)
Your presence is our greatest gift and celebrating with you on our special day is really all we need! Since we are lucky enough to already have a home full of everything we need as we have successfully combined two households into one, in lieu of traditional boxed gifts, we’d love your support in sending us on the trip of a lifetime for either flights, dinners or excursions and new experiences as we embark on this new chapter together, we are focusing more on experiences rather than things! Should you wish to bless us with a gift, we would be truly honored and grateful by your contribution to either our honeymoon fund or any of the other funds and experiences we have listed on our registry to help us plan for our first big adventure as newlyweds! Alternatively, we will also be providing an offline option for those who prefer bringing checks or cash in a card by setting up a physical card box at our reception for those who would prefer to gift by check or cash. Thank you all so much for your generosity and just being here with us on our wedding day, we truly can not wait to celebrate with all of you soon!
Absolutely! We encourage you if you would like to request a song to the DJ during the wedding reception or you may include it on your online RSVP when prompted.
YES, ABSOLUTELY! We’d certainly love for you to bring a date/plus one! When we send out the official wedding invitations, you will be able to indicate whether you are bringing a guest and provide their name & alternatively, we will also be sending out our wedding invitations electronically as well if you have provided us with your email and you may head to our RSVP page at that time where you can indicate you have a guest coming with you and simply just input their name!
