Ricky and Jenna share a deep, real-life fairytale that grew instantly from a simple match online to messaging for a few days to Ricky asking if it would be okay for him to give Jenna a phone call which then turned into their daily three-hour phone calls talking for a month straight where they really got to know each other & felt like having several many mini dates before they met that laid a beautiful foundation where they were both falling deeply for one another but their undeniable in-person chemistry that completely blew them both away brought immediate certainty to both of them. Their story shines on their first date on May 3. Ricky traveled an hour from West Virginia to Leesburg, Virginia to pick up Jenna. He said that he knew the second he saw her he fell in love all over again and was absolutely smitten with her. He arrived prepared with her favorite flower (a sunflower), a custom mason jar decoration made by his mom, a local market find, and a bag of Sour Patch Kids. Jenna was blown away and love struck the second she saw him step out of his truck to greet her with a warm hug and then opened her truck door like a true gentleman. Though nervous and excited, Ricky drove them to Front Royal, VA, where they shared a pepperoni and sausage pizza at Melting Pot Pizza. Locked in each other's eyes across the table, they fell even harder for one another. Continuing their date, they visited Stokes General Store. There, they explored around the store locked hand in hand and bought cheese from the legendary aged cheese wheel, Ricky found a floral cowgirl hat for Jenna and a brand new pair of cowboy boots for himself and a t-shirt to commemorate their unforgettable first date. The next stop was a trip to Rural King & munched on complimentary popcorn, relaxed in the display rocking chair swing, admired baby chicks, and playfully pretended to host a barbecue in the display section like absolute goofballs. When a torrential rainstorm hit, they took cover at Dunkin' Donuts. Over coffee, they opened up about their families and planned their upcoming introductions. Once the storm subsided, they headed to a local arcade. Though the lack of air conditioning had them sweating, it led to a deeply intimate conversation outside. Jenna shared a touching family tradition with Ricky: since she was thirteen, her father has kept the physical "key to her heart," which he will pass on to her future husband on her wedding day. Deeply moved, Ricky expressed his immense respect for her father and his honor at potentially receiving that key one day.
