FAQs

Question

What's the dress attire?

Answer

We invite you to dress in formal, elegant attire with a touch of Spain. Think timeless silhouettes, bold colors, and flowing fabrics that move beautifully. Not sure what this looks like? Check out the mood board above or the link below to gain some inspiration :) https://casildasecasa.com/articulos/2024/05/06/boda-lola-ignacio-sevilla-sol-tba-ansorena-2024 Out of respect for the sacred nature of the wedding Mass and the church setting, we kindly ask that attire be modest and elegant. Covered shoulders and tasteful necklines are appreciated. That said, you can absolutely still wear a strapless or sleeveless dress—just bring a shawl, wrap, or cape to wear during the ceremony. Floor-length gowns are encouraged. Women- hats, fascinators, and mantillas are optional, but if you love them, wear them!

Question

What time do I need to arrive?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 1:15 pm as the Mass will begin promptly at 1:30 pm.

Question

Can I Bring My Children?

Answer

Please double-check your invitation, as it will name all the family members invited to the reception.

Question

I've never been to a Catholic Mass before, what should I expect?

Answer

How exciting! We feel blessed that our nuptial Mass will be your first time in attendance. Here is a short rundown of what to expect that day: Liturgy of the Word (readings from Scripture), the wedding vows, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. As Catholics, we believe that the Eucharist is truly the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ. With that being said, if you are not Catholic or in a state to receive, as others are going up to receive, you can either stay in your pew or come forward for a blessing. If you choose to come forward for a blessing, cross your arms over your chest to let the priest know. Don't know if you are in a state of grace to receive? Only baptized Catholics who have received their first communion, are practicing the faith, and are not aware of having committed mortal (serious) sins since their last confession may receive the Eucharist.

Question

What if I have dietary restrictions?
