Our Story

Sophia and Jeff met working together in the most beautiful part of the world: Bozeman, Montana, where Jeff was a missionary and she was the campus minister. They started becoming good friends working together, having great conversations about ministry, Jesus, and life in general, and of course, feelings began to develop (Although it is to contention, Jeff developed feelings first). In a very ironic scenario, this happened during a first-year dating fast. After a long and arduous emotional year, Jeff asked Sophia on a date on May 11th, the day the fast ended. Their first date was in Grand Teton National Park (beat that), and what ensued was a summer of great fun! While it included fun times like going to Yellowstone, floating the Madison River, and enjoying a beautiful Montana summer, it was also a time of great growth and necessary conversations. At the root of it all, Jesus has always been the leader of our relationship, and a frequent topic of conversation, guiding us in learning how to become saints together. On March 14th, I (this is Jeff speaking) asked Sophia if she would marry me to be my bride. She said yes, which is one of the greatest joys of my life. Jeff and Sophia are excited to celebrate with all of you and to enter into the next call God has for them to become the saints He has made them to be. Our patron saints are St. Benedict (Jeff) and St. Philomena (Sophia), and of course, our wedding date falls on January 24th, St. Francis de Sales' feast day! Please pray for us, our families, and all involved in planning this wedding! We love you dearly!
