What are the chances of you changing the wedding date due to COVID restrictions?

Answer

We are so excited to tie the knot and will not be changing our wedding date. Should we need to further limit our number of guests, you will hear from us personally.

Are masks required?

Answer

We hate to have to say this, but as of 8/26/2021, yes - masks are required. If this changes, we will post an update here. Loon Mountain operates on federal land, and permit holders operating on federal land are required to follow guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), consistent with Executive Order 13991. At this time the community transmission rate in Grafton County is designated as High. Following current CDC guidance in communities with high transmission rates, effective August 26, 2021, guests (ages 3 & above) must wear a mask regardless of vaccination status in common indoor areas and outdoors when proper distancing cannot be maintained. What airport should I fly into? And do I need a rental car?

Manchester, NH. (MHT): 1hr 20min Boston, MA. (BOS): 2hr We recommend getting a rental car, so you have flexibility to explore what the area offers. Lincoln, NH is a small town with limited public transportation options. Uber/Lyft are rarely available, but there is a local shuttle service that acts as a town taxi. This information will be provided on our Transportation tab.

Is there a block of hotel rooms available?

Lincoln is a very small New England town with many Airbnb and VRBO options for all budgets. There are a few hotel options listed on our Travel & Accommodations tab. When searching by location, lodging in Lincoln and North Woodstock are your best bet. Should you choose to stay further out, we recommend you verify the driving route, as some towns appear more accessible to Lincoln than they actually are. As the crow flies and how the White Mountains roads lead are two different paths!

Will the wedding be outdoors or indoors?

Answer

Both! Our ceremony will be atop Loon Mountain. You will get there via an enclosed gondola. Post dinner and dancing, smores and firepits will be accessible outside for those who want some fresh air. Average temperature for September 25th is 66 degrees, with average nightly lows of 40 degrees. Should we encounter rain, the ceremony will be shifted indoors.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

The wedding is semi-formal. The path from the gondola to the ceremony site is paved, but there is a hill to consider when choosing footwear.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Do moose poop in the woods? OF COURSE.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

We have limited flexibility with our caterer, but please let us know any allergies as soon as possible so we can work to accommodate.

Is this a kid-friendly wedding?

Answer

No, with the exception of immediate family and the wedding party, children are not invited to our wedding. In efforts to keep numbers low and increase safety as we live in a COVID environment, we request only adults in attendance. We realize this may cause some logistical issues with travel and we understand if this potentially inhibits attendance. Thank you for understanding!
