Question

Is your wedding still happening?

Answer

The short answer is yes! Our venue is located in Chaffee County, CO. Events are allowed to take place at a reduced capacity to allow for social distancing. As we all adapt to an uncertain time with COVID-19, we are monitoring the news carefully. We are prepared to take every precaution necessary to make our wedding safe for our guests, even if that means postponing/canceling it. Our wedding is happening as planned, and we look forward to celebrating with you all on September 26th! We also want you to know that if for any reason you cannot attend our wedding we understand. You were invited to our wedding because you are important to us, and our top priority is making sure people feel safe at our celebration.

Question

What precautions are you taking during COVID-19?

Answer

- We are limiting the number of guests at our wedding to accommodate county regulations and to allow for social distancing. - Our ceremony will be held outdoors with distance between guests. - Our cocktail hour will be held outdoors in the courtyard and along the river. - Our reception will be held in a ballroom with 6 sets of french doors open to the river and courtyard to allow for more airflow and room to spread out. There will be heaters outside if the weather necessitates it. - Masks are required when not eating or drinking. - We will have hand sanitizer and masks available. - All food will be served by wait staff, including appetizers, dinner, and dessert. There will be no shared or buffet food service. All wait staff and bartenders will be wearing masks.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation indicates if you have a plus one available. Due to venue capacity limitations, we cannot expand our guest list.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Our wedding celebration is an adults-only affair. We are happy to connect you with other parents looking for a sitter and can help make recommendations for sitters in the area!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes. Please dress for a semi-formal wedding. Please avoid jeans, cargo shorts, and other casual attire. Ladies, please avoid stilettos, as our ceremony and cocktail hour will be on grass.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! Please email us at johnbarbwedding@gmail.com to notify us of your allergies or dietary restrictions.
