Justin and Megan matched on Hinge (dating app) in early September 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic. They talked on Hinge for only three days before Justin slyly asked for Megan's number. The Steelers were playing the Giants on Monday Night Football, and Justin proposed a little wager on the game, loser had to make dinner for the winner. In true Giants fashion, they lost and Justin said to Megan "I'm feeling pretty down because of the loss, but I think getting your number would help cheer me up". Phone numbers were exchanged and they ended up going out on their first date a couple weeks later. The bet was ultimately settled on date # 3 in which Justin made his mom's world famous Mediterranean Chicken.

The first non-dinner date that Justin and Megan had, they played hookey from work and went to Simmons Farm to pick some flowers and pumpkins. Two years later, on 9/3/2022, a second trip was planned by Megan to go apple picking with the soon to be Matron of Honor Lindsay and her husband Tyler. However, unbeknownst to Megan there was a bit more being planned behind the scenes. With the help of a cleverly named group chat "Fantasy Football" a plan was put into motion to surprise Megan with a wildflower garden proposal. As family and friends sneakily waited in the parking lot, Justin was able to direct Megan to the far end of the garden. The ring was handed off from Tyler, and Kippy was hiding amongst the flowers to capture the moment. Justin then dropped to one knee and asked "Will you marry me?" Thanks to a video recording we can confirm that the response from Megan was as quote "are you fucking serious?", then followed by a "Yes!". Following the proposal, it was revealed that family and friends were hiding among the wildflowers. Some tears were shed as we popped champagne and celebrated a perfect proposal. The end.
