What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for the evening is Semi-Formal. Tuxedos and gowns are welcome, but so are suits and midi-length dresses. Please no casual attire.

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is a parking lot at The Hudson House. Please follow the signs for parking at the top of the driveway. It will be immediately to your right upon turning into the venue. For those who may not be able to walk down the steep hill to the venue, please have the driver proceed straight down the driveway and drop you off in front of the venue. There will be a place to turn around and proceed back up the driveway to the parking lot.

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

Venue constraints require us to adhere to a specific guest count. Please do not bring a guest that was not included on your invitation. If you have questions, please reach out to Claire or Frank.

Are children invited?

Answer

Our wedding will be an adult-only event. Thank you in advance for understanding and we will see you on the dance floor!

Is there a formal, plated dinner?

Answer

We want everyone to have fun and dance all night! We have made the decision to forego a plated dinner and not interrupt all of the fun we know you will be having with formal dinner service. Instead, we will have passed appetizers and culinary stations that will be open all night with all of our favorite foods for you to enjoy!

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After we exchange our vows, we will welcome you in to the beautiful Hudson House & Distillery. You will be able to enjoy the deluxe open bar, themed culinary stations & passed hors d'oeuvres while you mix and mingle during cocktail hour. After cocktail hour, you will find your seat for the reception where we will have speeches, dancing and more! The culinary stations will remain open throughout the reception. The festivities will wrap up at 11pm.

Is there an after party?

Answer

We have not planned an official after party, however the bridal party is likely to keep the party going at the hotel bar at the DoubleTree in Poughkeepsie after the reception is over. Meet us there if you'd like a nightcap!

Question

Will there be a shuttle bus?

Answer

Yes, we have arranged for a shuttle bus to help our guests staying at the DoubleTree make their way to and from the venue. The shuttle will depart from the DoubleTree at 4:45pm and will depart from The Hudson House promptly at 11pm.
