We're getting married!

Frank and Claire met during the summer of 2019. For their first date, Claire tricked Frank into going to "this really cool spot with the best buffalo cauliflower." Unbeknownst to Frank, it was Claire's regular place and she greeted the bartender by name and placed her order without looking at the menu. Some could say it was risky for her to bring someone new to her "spot" on a first date, but perhaps there was something that Claire already knew - it wouldn't be just a first date. Frank and Claire continued to date regularly for months and months while telling their respective family members and friends that it "wasn't anything serious." Eventually, they admitted what everyone else already knew... they were falling in love. In May of 2020, while Frank was quarantined in his apartment in Brooklyn and Claire was working countless hours at Viscount, it became official. Frank mailed Claire a George Strait letter asking her to be his girlfriend. It shouldn't come as a surprise that she checked the box marked "YES." Their relationship continued to progress while Claire pursued her law degree and Frank saved every spare penny for a down payment on a house. When Claire moved back to the Hudson Valley in August of 2023, they moved in together for the first time and no longer had to travel on the weekends to see each other. In March of 2024, Claire started planning a small get-together for what she thought was going to be a silly champagne toast and pizza party after they closed on their first house together. Instead, she was planning her own proposal without knowing it. Frank managed to purchase Claire's dream engagement ring even though the couple was knee-deep in first time home buyer's stress and anxiety. When it was all over and Claire and Frank were taking pictures on the front porch of their new home, Frank pulled out the ring and asked about forever. Even though Claire immediately started tearing up, she managed to get out the magic word. She said, "YES" again.
