Hotel
Tom & I recommend The Shore Amora hotel for those of you who will be staying off of the villas.
Travel Note
If you have booked your travel to Bali and will be arriving on Sunday, please send your travel itinerary to Tom and Jordan so they can arrange transportation from the airport to the villas. One very important thing to confirm when booking your flight to Bali is that you will be landing in Bali on Sunday, June 18th! When booking international travel you have to keep in mind you are potentially traveling for over 24 hours and with the different time zones you could be traveling into another day. For example, Tom and I flew out of NYC at 10pm on a Friday and arrived to Bali at 11am on a Sunday. So please make sure you are confirming all the travel details before booking and if you need assistance just contact me :) When you fly to Bali from the US there will be one to two layovers before arriving to Bali most likely in one of these major cities : Tokyo, Singapore, Dubai, or Hong Kong. Here are a list of a few Airlines to look into : ANA, Singapore Airlines, Emirates Airlines, Cathay Pacific, & Qatar Airways.
Flight
Singapore Airlines is highly recommended! Tom & I flew basic economy on this airline and had a great experience! Food, drinks, & alcohol are all included in your flight and the airline provides pillows and blankets for each seat. Singapore Air did an amazing job managing our sleep schedule while in the air to decrease jet-lag, which truly helped! Overall, the service was wonderful & it truly felt like we were just spending our time in a luxury hotel in the sky!
Travel Note
Tom and Jordan will have private drivers to escort our guests to and from the events as needed. As for independent travel, you can rent scooters, call for a cab, or just hire your own driver which costs about $30 a day.
Travel Note
1. Apps to Download : GoJek (Ride App), Grab (Ride App), Offline Google Maps, WhatsApp (Texting & Calling) 2. Traffic in Bali is Wild! 3. Offerings : In Bali almost every shop or restaurant will have "offerings" on the ground outside. They look like little woven grass squares that will have flowers and some kind of incense burning on them. These are a peace offering to the God's so please make sure you watch where you are walking, so you do not accidentally step on one. 4. Do your research and stay in a walkable area where you want to spend most of your time. This will just reduce the cost of drivers and scooters throughout your stay. 5. Bali is full of tourists, so make sure you get up early to go to the hot spots that you want to visit if you don't want people in your photos. This will also help with avoiding lines if there are any. 6. MONEY! Make sure to check with your credit cards before you travel to make sure you can use them without in fees internationally. Also, highly recommend doing your money exchange to IDR at your local bank if they can or at the airport when you land to avoid any scams elsewhere. 7. DRUGS ARE ILLEGAL IN BALI! Indonesia does not allow the possession and/or trafficking of drugs, including many drugs that are legal in other countries. Carrying any of the following drugs (hemp/CBD oils, creams, etc./THC/hash/edibles/cocaine/psychadelic drugs & more) in your luggage through an Indonesian airport is considered INTERNATIONAL DRUG TRAFFICKING and classified as an international criminal offense. The ‘trafficker’ will have to pay significant fines and stay in jail for a minimum sentence of 4 years unless proven innocent in an Indonesian court of law. PLEASE MAKE SURE TO CHECK ALL OF YOUR LUGGAGE FOR ANY DRUGS BEFORE TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY. TOM AND I WILL NOT BE SPENDING OUR HONEYMOON BAILING YOUR ASSES OUT OF PRISON! lol
