We recommend staying near a Metro line if you want to explore the Washington, DC area during your trip. The Red line train will take you up to the Glenmont station (1 mile from Brookside Gardens) and down into DC (Gallery Place/Chinatown, Metro Center) where you can connect with other lines to visit the Smithsonian museums, the National Mall, and more.
