The North Fork is best navigated with a car. While you can reach the Greenport LIRR station (approximately 2 miles from our wedding venue) via public transportation from NYC (requiring a transfer at Ronkonkoma), onward travel can be challenging without a vehicle. Ride-sharing services like Uber and Lyft are very limited. For those planning to arrive via public transit (LIRR, Hampton Jitney, etc.), please coordinate your travel in advance. There are limited public transportation options that go out to Greenport each day, so checking schedules and planning ahead is essential. To fully experience Greenport (wineries, shops, etc!) and have flexibility in traveling beyond our venue, we strongly suggest having a rental car or making alternative transportation arrangements for the weekend.
We have an open question on our RSVPs to determine how many guests staying at the Sound View would be interested in a shuttle to the welcome party, back to the Sound View, or both! Stay tuned for more updates here!
Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. If you are staying on-site at The Sound View, please plan to be ready and make your way to the ceremony location by 4:45 PM. For all guests arriving by car, we recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before the ceremony to allow ample time for valet parking and to ensure everyone is seated comfortably before we begin.
Come ready to celebrate! We're requesting cocktail attire (semi-formal) for our wedding. Here are some ideas: For those who typically wear suits or similar attire: Feel free to wear a suit in any color, or dressy separates like tailored trousers with a blazer. Whether you wear a tie is up to you. For those who typically wear dresses or similar attire: A stylish cocktail dress of any length or dressy jumpsuit.
To ensure accurate planning, plus ones were specifically indicated on the addressed invitation. If a guest was invited with a plus one, it would have been addressed directly to "[Guest Name] and Guest" or included both names.
While we adore your children and recognize that The Sound View is a great place for families to stay, our wedding day is designed as an adult-only celebration. We respectfully request that you plan accordingly by arranging for childcare at your accommodations or leaving little ones at home. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes, valet parking will be provided at The Sound View. Due to the venue's location on the main road, self-parking is not available on-site.
