Travel

For those new to Puerto Rico, here are a few tips to hopefully help your travel experience go smoothly.

Flight

San Juan International Airport

This is the primary airport for Puerto Rico. It is located in capital city San Juan, so if you plan on doing some sightseeing in addition to the wedding, this is a great place to start. Keep in mind that San Juan is about a 2.5 hour drive from Rincón.

Flight

Rafael Hernandez Airport

This is Puerto Rico's western international airport located in Aguadilla. While this airport will have fewer flight options, it is only a 40 minute drive from Rincón.

Rental Car

Uber or Taxi or Rental Oh My

UBER drivers are not allowed to pickup or drop off passengers at airports. For those spending some time in San Juan, you can get a taxi into town and then use UBER if you prefer. The most convenient option is a rental car available at the airport. You can get a good deal by booking ahead online.

House Or Rental

Airbnb or Hotel

Like any island destination, Puerto Rico has many hotels and prices vary greatly based on location. Some hotels might still be completing repairs following Hurricane Maria. Airbnb is alive and well in Puerto Rico. If you are looking to keep lodging costs down by sharing a place while getting to spend more time with family and friends, Airbnb is definitely the way to go. Rincón has many multi-room homes at a great price.
