Please call or email Patricia Frederick of Cruise Club Internationale at 847-669-6600 or patricia@cruiseclubintl.com who can ensure you received the group rate and are counted as part of our room block as well as help book your flights. The room block is currently open and we encourage you to book as soon as possible as we have a certain amount of each room type available and must release a certain percentage of rooms in February.
We love your kids! However, to give you parents and other guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about young eyes and ears, we politely request no children at the ceremony and reception. That said, Dreams Natura is a family friendly resort and we welcome you to make this a family vacation if you choose. Babysitting services are available through the resort and the teen club is open late for ages 13 and up.
Semi-formal attire for the ceremony and reception is requested. The wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will take place outside unless there there is rain. The events will be on concrete or wooden deck, so no need to worry about heels sinking into sand or grass. Note that while the ocean breeze should be lovely in the evening, while the sun is shining it could be hot.
We highly encourage you to stay with us at Dreams Natura to enjoy all of the celebrating that will be happening! However, we will note that if you are not staying at the resort on the evening of the wedding, the resort will charge you a $75 per person outside guest fee for a 5-hour wedding pass or $120 per person for a full-day pass.
The temperature during the day in June can get into the high 80s and humidity can be high. We suggest packing light and cool clothing along with your swimsuits and lots of sunscreen.
We ask that the ceremony itself is unplugged. Please turn off put all phones and cameras during that time so you can enjoy the moment with us while the professional photographer does their job : ) We will happily share the professional pictures of those memories with you when we receive them. However, we welcome you to take photos during the cocktail hour and the reception and share those on your social media pages at any time! And we'd love for you to share them with us!
Yes- travel to Mexico does require a passport. Given the backup at government offices because of COVID, we recommend getting or renewing your passport if needed as soon as possible. And be sure to check the expiration date! Mexican and US Customs agencies recommend that your passport be valid for a minimum period of six months after your travel dates to avoid any potential problems at the port of entry. You can get all of the most up to date information on getting/renewing your passport at travel.state.gov.
Absolutely! The safety of our guests and ourselves is our #1 priority. Laura and Scott have been extremely conscious of and closely following COVID safety protocols since the beginning of the pandemic. And we have been closely following infection rates and vaccine distribution. As of now, we are cautiously optimistic that we will feel safe to travel internationally again by June 2022. However, we will keep everyone up-to-date with any changes to plans or protocols if we experience another surge in cases. At this time we expect all guests to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by the time of the wedding. We expect ourselves and our guests to follow any and all CDC recommendations that may remain in place at the time of travel, including mask recommendations, particularly on airplanes.
Really, you sharing this moment and being in our lives is more than a gift to us. And we also understand the commitment that attending a destination wedding entails, so there is no need to get us gifts. We are however in the process of setting up a small registry for those who truly feel inclined.
