We're getting married!

We love to share that we were a dating app success story, but the details suggest it was more like fate. Sav's dating app was set to only show people within a 1 mile radius, and unfortunately Freddy lived about 30 miles away at the time. So when traffic stopped Freddy exactly 1 mile from Sav's apartment and he decided to see who was in the area, it was meant to be! When Freddy's face came up, Sav was certain she recognized him, specifically his smile. Sav suspected the déjà vu was because she had seen his face on her Instagram feed many years prior. She had instantly been drawn to his infectious smile, just as she was now, and had looked him up online to find out who he was. Despite her confidence, she needed to confirm that this was in fact the same man she had looked up years prior, and the rest is history. We instantly hit it off talking about our close relationships with our families, our passions for our work, and our love of the outdoors. Freddy insisted he would take Sav to her first Giants game, and Sav excitedly discussed teaching Freddy to snowboard. Despite having a big exam coming up, Sav prioritized her first date with Freddy, knowing this date would be special. We had a lovely dinner that was over too soon, and decided to continue the date at a nearby bar where we talked for hours until it was closing time. From that moment on, we couldn't get enough of each other. We texted about anything and everything throughout the day, talked on the phone while Sav walked home from class, and excitedly counted down the days until our next date. It was only a matter of weeks before Freddy accomplished his goal of taking Sav to her first Giants game, and a matter of months before Sav was teaching Freddy to snowboard. To this day, no matter how much time we get to spend together, it never feels like enough and we still excitedly talk about everything and anything we dream of doing together. April 27th, 2024, two years after our first date, Freddy surprised Sav by proposing at the top of Mount Tam with her best friends there to help celebrate! We are looking forward to a lifetime of love and laughter, thankful that the invisible string and fate brought us together.
