Bright eyed and bushy tailed, naive to the cold fingers and windburn to follow

(Left to Right): Justin Shoemaker, Zach Ettaki, Amanda Ettaki, Mark Fraser, Katie Vladimirova. Started hiking at 11pm

Although the night hiking was cold, windy and rough- once we ascended past the clouds, we were rewarded with an epic view of the stars

Admiring Mt. Hood's shadow, a result of the perspective effect

Our officiant takes a group selfie while at Devil's Kitchen. We were incredibly happy to see the rising sun!

On ropes and traversing up from Hogback, everyone steps carefully with axes in hand and ready to self-arrest in the event of an unexpected slip.

The final push. Summiting via the "Old Chute" route

We elected to skip the traditional vows. Amanda read words that were carefully crafted by Mark and Katie while tearing up in the process. Rings were exchanged and a kiss was shared :-)

Ring photo. Mark's ring is made out of tantalum with the Mt. Hood summit coordinates engraved on the inside. Katie's ring is white gold with "Till Death" engraved on the outside

Yes, we did bring our marriage certificate to the top for everybody to sign - gloved hands and all

Group photo with the completed certificate. Clear skies, the best views, and high stoke levels

Amanda created these hand-painted signs for our backpacks, "Just Married". We received many compliments (and questions) on the way down

Back at the Timberline lodge. We love the "Tucker" sno-cat!
