We met in college at USC Upstate. We cannot remember the time or place, but a fond memory was graduation day in May of 2018. Roman had taken a photo with my sister and I, but then after the photo was taken, he kissed my neck and ran off, in true Roman fashion. Left slightly surprised and confused, little did I know, we would not cross paths again until four years later. In May of 2022, Roman messaged me on Instagram. We conversed there for a few days and then he asked for my number. We text each other regularly and talked on the phone from time to time and then, I asked him when was he going to visit me. We lived two and a half hours apart, but he ensured me that he would make it to see me soon. On June 19th, 2022, Roman kept his word. Tired and sleepy, he drove from North Augusta, SC, to Gaffney, SC, to visit me. Once he arrived, our lives changed forever. We embarked on a series of adventures! Our earlier days consisted of staying up late at night, making silly drinks and eating snacks, and telling Alexa to play old school songs that we thought each other knew nothing about. We spent a lot of time at my house or in the backyard. We told life stories, built fires, and made food. In September, after leaving my house, Roman was in a car wreck that left him bruised up and his car totaled. I will never forget leaving work to rush to the hospital. After a week or so of allowing him to heal up, I started my two and a half journeys to North Augusta. I would go down on a Friday afternoon after work, and I would return Monday morning heading straight to work. Our weekends were filled with adventure! We would stay at Roman's brother and sister-in-law's house. We spent time with their children, as well as being active playing basketball and tennis. We went out to the movies and spent even more time downtown Augusta. We bar hopped and ate great food, and we even got into a little trouble (lol). We made countless memories. We were young, turnt, and in love. Life was great and we were perfect for each other. Things took a turn in 2023. We popped a bottle of champagne on New Years Eve, but time spent was limited. We began to argue more and then we eventually parted ways. What we thought was forever came to a halt. We did not see each other for eight months. We lived totally separate lives with only the memories we had made to cling to. Although he did his own thing, and I did mine, Roman was sure to keep in contact. It sounds sweet, but his way of keeping in contact was calling me early in the morning to say something outrageous, and then hanging up or Facetiming me while he was at work to do something outrageous and then hanging up. Roman was so annoying, but I enjoyed the subtle reminders of still being friends even though what we wanted could not be. On February 22, 2024, Roman called me and said that he was coming to visit me. It had been eight months, and I had not saw this man once. Afraid of re-opening a closed door, I told him not to come. He came anyway. I did not know how I would feel seeing Roman after so much time had passed. He came into my house different from the way he entered in 2022. This time he was a lot thinner and had much more energy. Calm Roman was now loud! As soon as he walked in, my nervousness went away and I was so happy to see him. We had so much life to catch up on. This time Roman came and never left. He was serious about us being together and he would refer to me as his wife to everyone he came across. No one understood what was going on, but both he and I knew that the eight months we spent separated was the last time we wanted to be separated ever again. In March, he asked for my hand in marriage, while also saying that we were getting married regardless of what anyone says or thinks and that I would make my own decisions. In April, we began living together in the same house where we fell in love. On June 19th, 2024, we married privately and learned that we were expecting our greatest blessing!
