Spring 2018. Sparks. Frank and Sami met on Coffee Meets Bagel. Frank was ready to take a break from bagels, and Sami decided to give coffee another try. They were matched and went on their first date. Initially, Frank was not feeling it. He didn't think there was much of a connection, so he thought, "another day, another date". Feeling defeated and ready to give up, Frank got some wise words from a friend. "You can never give up after one date. How do you expect to know someone after meeting the first time? This girl seems like a great catch so give her two to three dates, then make your decision." So, Frank decided to meet Sami again for date number two, then date number three, then four, and five. Slowly, the sparks. Frank saw how awesome and sweet Sami was, while Sami saw how caring and funny Frank was. They both loved the Dodgers, Disneyland, watching movies, Seattle, Yosemite, and eating delicious food. But most importantly, they both loved Jesus. A match formed together by the grace of God. They fell in love and the rest is history.
Summer 2019. Grand Slam. Proposing to Sami had been on Frank's mind for awhile. Frank had the ring ready and received her family's blessing, but didn't know how he was going to pop the question. But then, Frank remembered that Sami mentioned how she always wanted to go on a Dodgers Stadium tour, so he thought, why not there? Now, to put the plan into motion, Frank contacted the person in charge, booked the private tour, invited friends/family, and decided where he wanted to propose. The bullpen. That way as the newly engaged couple came out onto the field, close friends and family would be waiting to celebrate and congratulate them. Perfect. So the day arrived, and Frank was definitely distracted during the tour. His heart was beating, nerves were getting to him, worst case scenarios were clouding his mind, and it didn't help that he had to "act normal" during the majority of the tour. All the while, Sami was thoroughly enjoying the tour, taking pictures, making comments, and learning so much about Dodger history. As Frank was reciting in his head what he was going to say, they started heading towards the bullpen. The next moment was a blur to the both of them, but the important moments were this: Frank popped the question and Sami said yes.
