Matron of Honor
Sister, best friend, and second mother of the bride. Some say she bullied Liv into doing too many keg stands in college, others say that was Liv's idea. The two can be found binging Law & Order SVU or Criminal Minds together while somehow remaining scared of literally everything in real life. They both love car ride singalongs to 2000s jams, daily iced coffees, and being a little too real with one another. Izz is fiercely loyal, incredibly blunt, and is the first person Liv calls when she needs advice. Liv has always looked up to Izz and is happy Izz can return the favor after Liv served as her maid of honor in 2022. Plus she's basically co-planning this wedding with her spreadsheets, Zoom calls, and random planning wisdom #creditwherecreditisdue.
Best Man
Friends since soccer preseason freshman year of college, even though Seb was the goalie and everyone knows goalies are kinda psycho. Seb is a natural connector with a great sense of humor. Nick cherishes Seb's loyal friendship and their mutual love for wonky policy and nerding out. They both work hard/play hard, like when they went to SkyZone after Seb took the LSATs (and yes, work hard/play hard was a reference to the infamous soccer poster that got the two suspended from a game freshman year #iykyk). Liv became very close to Seb and his wife, Lucy, throughout the five years the couples spent together in DC. Nick is happy to have Seb as his best man 4 years after Nick stood by Seb's side at his wedding to Lucy.
Bridesmaid
Friends since 1st grade, even though Olivia cried (unhappy tears) when she found out Amanda was in her class. These two lifelong besties could have been the stars (laughingstock?) of Tiktok if it were popular in their heyday - just check out the HUNDREDS of dancing videos on Photo Booth on Amanda's family computer. Amanda is (disgustingly) kind and thoughtful, makes everyone around her feel loved and welcomed, and is a beyond loyal friend. They have ridic adventures, and love to get coffee and drive around gossiping. Their shared history, love for binge watching reality series and crime shows, and ability to laugh nonstop around one another are what keep this friendship going despite Amanda's chronic lateness. Oh, and if Amanda asks, the wedding is at noon, not 5:30 PM.
Groomsman
Friends since college, the two became close senior year when they would eat lunch together and Cooper would always bring a giant bowl of salad to Nick's house. They bonded over cooking and nutrition, with Cooper teaching Nick all about vegan cooking. Cooper helped Nick apply for his first health care consulting job at a company he was already hired at, and Nick says part of the reason he chose to move to DC was knowing that he would get to work with and live with Cooper. Nick looks back fondly time spent biking and exploring DC together, playing on rec volleyball and soccer teams on the National Mall, and listening to jazz together. Nick appreciates Cooper putting up with his mediocre tennis game. Cooper is a thoughtful friend who gives insightful advice and always checks in.
Bridesmaid
Friends since they were both all-stars on the maroon soccer team in Kindergarten. Okay, let's be real they probably both just spent the games frolicking in the field. The pair has stayed friends for the past 23 years despite Aniko putting fake love letters in Olivia's locker in 6th grade as a prank. Liv really was out here thinking she had a middle-aged secret admirer living in Germany. Jokes on her. Ani loves to keep Liv humble with her zingers, which never fail to make Nick laugh. Regardless, Ani is Liv's biggest supporter, always forever. Liv can always count on Ani to have her back, lift her up, and understand what she's going through. They share a love for niche 2010s comedians and Office references, old car mixtapes with nostalgic songs #SkizzyMars, long drives, and beach talks.
Groomsman
Louis and Nick met playing soccer together in DC in 2016, and later were roommates for a year. They survived living in a basement apartment with spotty wifi and no heat in the dead of winter with no complaints from either, but plenty of complaints from Liv. Louis would wander around Stop and Shop late at night for literal hours and come home with only a few apples. Some may say he was avoiding Liv's crying, but he'd never admit it because he's the nicest person. Nick enjoys talking policy with Louis, giving each other advice, and catching up on long phone calls. Louis genuinely cares about others, is a thoughtful friend, and thinks WWE is hilarious to watch. Even though he's a smarty-pants lawyer now, he probably has more knowledge of the nuances of Marvel versus DC Comics than anything law-related.
Bridesmaid
Friends since before they met IRL when a future sorority sister showed Maya a photo of Liv and asked "does THIS look like your future best friend?" Answer: a resounding yes. The two became inseparable after joining SK, and Liv would escape her room to nap at Maya's on a daily basis (6th floor of Thurston, represent). They roomed together in college, and Maya is still Liv's friend despite the fact that Liv gave her hand, foot and mouth disease that one time. Yikes. Maya is kind, understanding, and is a ray of consistent sunshine in Liv's life. They can always laugh about dumb stuff they did in college (that Easy A Halloween costume, dear God). They share a mutual guilty pleasure of being loyal Bachelor podcast listeners. Double yikes.
Groomsman
Nick and Saman became friends in 7th grade when Saman moved to Brookline from Iran. Despite an initial language barrier, the pair bonded over a mutual love of soccer. Throughout college, Saman was someone Nick always looked forward to reconnecting with on breaks. The two share genuine talks about life and what is important to them. Saman often turns the book on Nick, prompting him with serious and thought-provoking questions. Saman is really caring and interested in what others have to say, and is always there for Nick even when they've spent a lot of time apart.
Bridesmaid
Friends since freshman year of college when they both joined SK, and have stayed friends despite Val forcing Liv to attend themed parties in clothes from her costume box instead of staying in to read. Val is incredibly smart (hello JD), steadfast, loyal, and inclusive of everyone. She loves to make people feel welcomed and she really knows how to throw an incredible party. Despite this, Val will throw down if someone hurts a person she loves. The first time Val met Nick she said she'd kill him if he hurt Liv, and Nick's been overly nice to her ever since to keep in her good graces (jk, that's just Nick's personality). Val is there for Liv's late-night FaceTimes and always knows what to say to make her laugh, while also keeping her humble with embarrassing photos from 2012. They share a mutual affinity for trashy TV, artichoke pizza, insane nights out, and cozy nights in.
Groomsman
When Toby and Nick met in 2nd grade, Nick drew a photo of his house and told Toby to come over. Serial killer ish or cute childhood behavior, you decide. Nick and Toby bonded over soccer, dominating their elementary rec league by devising special plays to (in their eyes) wow the fans with highlight-reel level assists and goals. At family dinners, Toby would always ask if the pair could be excused to play FIFA. Even though Toby moved back to Denmark sophomore year, the two and their families have always stayed close with frequent visits and check-ins. They have traveled to Berlin, Munich, Prague, and NYC to visit one another and always pick up right where they left off. They have a shared interest in policy and climate change, and Nick loves getting photo updates of Toby's sweet twin daughters.
Bridesmaid
Watson has been a constant in nearly every element of Liv's life since she moved to Cohasset in 4th grade and offered Liv a cupcake on the first day of school. They stayed friends even though Liv was a terrible (possibly dangerous) addition to the 7th grade cheerleading team. The pair grew up together, attended college together, joined the same sorority, were college roommates, and both lived in DC post-college. Watson is always checking in on the couple, and has formed a strong friendship with Nick as well. Watson radiates kindness, always looking out for friends, is incredibly driven and thoughtful in all aspects of life. The two know a LOT about one another, to the point where a government official calling Liv for Watson's security clearance asked about countries Watson has traveled to when Liv gave a 100% accurate list, he responded "wow, you really do know everything about her, huh?"
Groomsman
Zac and Nick met during college orientation when they were assigned the same advisor and had to meet in a small group. It was not love at first sight for this duo. Nick's bleached blond hair and preppy clothes screamed Masshole WASP, and Zac wasn't interested. Nick was equally unenthralled when Zac made one of his classic push-the-boundary jokes. However, sophomore year they shared a class together and quickly realized that their first impressions were wrong. The two became fast friends for the rest of college, playing tennis, studying for their pre-med classes, playing piano and guitar, and cooking dinner when they lived in neighboring townhouses. Nick values Zac's transparency and honesty in good times and difficult times. Zac is always making Nick laugh and he's excited to have Zac by his side!
Officiant
Brother of the bride and friend of the groom. Sam went from doing anything Liv said as a toddler to not speaking to her for half a decade when he was in his moody, silent phase. Now the two talk on a daily basis (okay, Sam responds more like weekly -- the siblings group chat is just usually just Izz and Liv sending memes). Liv and Sam both enjoy reading and music, even though their taste is not always aligned, with Sam claiming anything written after the 1960s is not ~real literature~. However, both love Beatniks, especially Kerouac, and modernist poets like who measure out their lives with coffee spoons. Sam and Nick got close when Nick lived at the Franklin's family home for months during the COVID lockdown. Sam put up with Nick's frequent requests to shoot hoops, play lacrosse in the yard, and answer nonstop questions about what Sam was learning. Nick has been here for Sam's transition from silent to chatty, and the three of them (plus Dad) have enjoyed some silly family outings to go axe throwing or jump on trampolines at SkyZone. Sam is an English major, which we guess makes him over-qualified for this role. He will also be OF LEGAL DRINKING AGE by the time the wedding rolls around!! Buckle up, everyone.
