Travel Note
Your travel to Kodiak will inevitably bring you to Anchorage. Whether you are getting there on an Alaska, American, Delta, jetBlue, or other airline, the one you will take between Anchorage and Kodiak is Alaska Airlines (there's no other option). Alaska Air has a “Peace of Mind waiver” that covers change and cancellation fees for flights booked through March 31st, and is eliminating all change fees for First and Main cabin seats after April 1st, 2021. If you have time for a day on the ferry, this can be a fun option if you are driving from somewhere in Alaska. The ferry route most people use from the mainland to Kodiak leaves from Homer. The price is based off of the length of your vehicle (you can also walk on, ride a bike, etc.).
