ROOM BLOCK & TRAVEL

The Wedding Website of Ty-Gerald David and Franklin Parker
Welcome! We are thrilled for you to join us for our big day and spend a weekend exploring the unparalleled beauty of Mackinac Island. Throughout our lives and our relationship, the island has held a very special place in our hearts. We are so thankful to be able to share this place with all of you. Our choice of unique location comes with some extra planning; however, The Island is well worth the effort and we are here to help! On our site, we hope to provide you with all the necessary information to make planning your stay as seamless as possible. Below, you will find our wedding block at Mission Point Resort and advice for every leg of your journey to and from the island. Please also see other tabs, notably "FAQs" to help plan your stay. As Mackinac Island is a highly sought-after destination, we recommend you start planning by arranging your lodging accommodations promptly. Much Love!

Travel Note

ISLAND CONSIDERATIONS

Mackinac Island is a car-free destination and has been that way for 125 years! There are numerous options for getting around the island with ease and the wedding is a short walk from the ferry dock. More on this in FAQs. To get to the island, all guests will need to take a short ferry from Mackinaw City, MI. More below and in FAQs. For convenience, we recommend all guests book their stay at Mission Point Resort, our venue for the ceremony and reception. To our knowledge, all accommodations on the island (including Mission Point Resort) do require a two-night minimum. We have also provided information for alternate lodging on the island and mainland as well. Important to note that staying off the island will result in added day-of travel considerations and ferry lines are often much longer on Saturdays. Most importantly, the last ferry off the island leaves at 10:00pm sharp; guests would need to leave the reception by 9:00pm as recommended by the venue.

MISSION POINT RESORT

One Lake Shore Drive, Mackinac Island, MI 49757
 (800) 833-7711

Your first step in planning your weekend, our recommended lodging for all guests to be closest to all the fun! Reservations are available with a block discount for stays from Friday, August 15, 2025 to Sunday, August 17, 2025. This room block is limited and only guaranteed for booking until June 17, 2025. Rates are seasonal and will rise throughout spring and summer as the resort's vacancy is filled. So, the sooner you book the better rate you will receive. The link to the room block is usable but has some limitations as you will not see all options left available at the resort. Therefore, we recommend all guests call Mission Point Resort's Reservations Department at (800) 833-7711, and ask for Phyllis (she's fantastic!). Mention you are looking to book in the "Loomis Richards" wedding block and she will take it from there. Your reservation also includes island/resort taxes and all luggage service to and from the ferry. First night and above fees due at booking. *** As of April 2025, remaining vacancies at Mission Point Resort for our wedding weekend are already becoming very limited, so we recommend booking without delay ***

We have identified options that ideally arrive to Pellston at 1:28pm on Friday . . . putting you on the island Friday afternoon. Also, fun fact . . . all of your connecting flights will be in Detroit, so the final leg to Pellston can be an early jump on the fun! Shuttles from the Pellston airport to the Shepler's ferry dock are offered by Mackinaw Shuttle. Reservations can be made by clicking the link below.
