Frank and Lexy’s journey began at the University of Iowa in 2012. They crossed paths while working at the University of Iowa Foundation - Telefund, where their friendship blossomed during shifts together. Although Lexy wasn’t fond of cold-calling, Frank’s sense of humor always made the experience enjoyable. During one fateful Telefund shift, Frank & Lexy discovered that they had both purchased lottery tickets for a record high Powerball Jackpot. They agreed to a lighthearted pact: if one of them won, they would share the prize, effectively obligating them to get married and split the winnings. This playful and somewhat whimsical pact brought them even closer. Even though they didn’t win the lottery, Frank managed to get Lexy's phone number, and the two started dating shortly after. After graduation, the couple navigated a three-year long-distance relationship, with Lexy residing in Columbus, Ohio and Frank in Chicago. Eventually, Lexy relocated to the Windy City in 2015, marking a new chapter together! In 2020, Frank and Lexy moved in together and welcomed their adorable puppy Bingley into their lives! With their family feeling complete, the only missing piece was for Frank to “pop” the question!

After sharing seven wonderful years together, Frank orchestrated a surprise proposal in Hawaii at the Hotel Wailea - Treehouse. Lexy remained clueless about the impending proposal as Frank assured her that the ring had not been purchased and didn’t want her to get her hopes up. Once the couple arrived at the Treehouse, Frank got down on one knee and asked Lexy to spend the rest of their lives together. It was a magical night with a live ukulele player, a private chef and the most breathtaking views!
