In 2017, Frank and Kate went on Holy Ship, a popular music festival that took place on a cruise ship. They went with different people (all the while knowing tons of the same) and never even met on the boat. The universe had its own plan when they ended up taking the same flight home. Kate spotted Frank as he got on the plane in his Holy Ship hat and knew she wanted to make a connection when they landed. It wasn't until baggage claim where Kate, whos hair happened to magenta at the time, approached Frank & his friends who obviously knew she too had been on Holy Ship. Frank reached his arms out and said "Hey Mama!" & gave Kate a big hug and the rest is history!
