Since Virginia is known as the "Napa of the East Coast," check out some of the wineries, breweries, and distilleries that Charlottesville has to offer. There are over 40 wineries, eight breweries, and half a dozen distilleries, so we won't list them all out here :)
Feeling adventurous? Take a hike in Shenandoah National Park to soak in all of its fall colors. Less than an hour away from Downtown Charlottesville! Please check their website for access information.
Spend some time picking apples, sipping on cider, and snacking on cider mill donuts (we can assure you, they're worth the trip -- Wall Street Donut approved!). Reservations are needed for apple picking, but there is also a drive-up option to grab a gallon of cider or a dozen donuts.
History buff? Plan a visit to Thomas Jefferson's home, and enjoy a glass of wine.
Spend some time strolling down the Charlottesville Downtown Mall -- a street lined with cute cafés, restaurants, bars, and boutiques. Walking distance from the Residence Inn, Fairfield Inn & Suites, and the Hampton Inn, enjoy Charlottesville in its peak season.
