Question
When should I book my hotel or rental?
Answer
ASAP. October is one of Charlottesville's busiest months between tourists and UVA football. We strongly encourage you to book your lodging as soon as possible.

Are my children invited?
Answer
While we love your little ones, we have chosen to have an adults-only celebration. Thank you for understanding, and we look forward to celebrating with them in the future!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
If you're planning your own transportation, please arrive by 5pm. Since the winery is an active tasting room, guests are not allowed to arrive prior to 5pm. The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30pm.

Can I bring a Plus One?

While we support your journey to find love, we ask that you respect the RSVP.
Question
Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Yes! We will have transportation available for everyone who requested it when submitting their RSVP. The buses will pick up from two locations promptly at 4:30pm: the Fairfield Inn & Suites (401 Cherry Street) and the Residence Inn (315 W Main Street). Transportation will be provided back to both hotels when the reception ends at 11:00pm. We are more confident about Ubers to the venue than from the venue. If you choose to Uber to the venue, you will still have a spot on our transportation back to Downtown Charlottesville at the end of the night if you requested it on your RSVP. IMPORTANT: If you are staying at the Residence Inn or Hampton Inn, please take the bus from the Residence Inn. If you are staying at the Fairfield Inn, Holiday Inn, or another location, please take the bus from the Fairfield Inn. For those not staying at the Fairfield Inn, you will be responsible for getting to the hotel.

What should I wear?
Answer
We encourage cocktail attire -- suit and tie, formal cocktail dresses. Ladies, please be advised that this is an active vineyard and tasting room, and our ceremony will take place outside. Please be mindful of the lawn and stone patio when picking out your shoes.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Join us for Welcome Drinks on Thursday to kick off our wedding weekend! Following the wedding, on Saturday, we invite you to visit us at another local winery, Kings Family Vineyards (nothing like a little hair of the dog, am I right?)!

You live in Raleigh. Why Charlottesville?
Answer
We visited Charlottesville for a weekend getaway in 2023. Enjoying the views and sipping wine, we turned to each other and said, "This would be a beautiful place for a wedding." Fast forward, on the same weekend the following year, we locked in our wedding date and venue. In 2025, we'll be getting married on that same weekend!
