Audrey Root (soon to be Mrs. Becker) loves her life right now. She's getting married to an amazing man, has a loving church community, and gets to work from home with her cat, Flower. The part of the wedding that she is most excited for (after getting married) is to eat cake and dance to Taylor Swift.
Frank J Becker
Groom
Frank J Becker certainly is an existing person. When he isn't cuddling Flower or being the best partner to Audrey, he is hard at work! He is graduating with his Masters of Architecture from the University of Virginia in May while also working at a local Charlottesville architecture firm. The part of the wedding that he is most excited for is becoming Audrey's husband.

I have had the pleasure to know Audrey since she was in middle school. I have been a witness to her spiritual growth and her deepening faith in God. I am truly honored and excited to share this experience with Audrey and Frank as they continue in their new lives together.

Even though she cannot be at the Wedding, Flower wishes her parents the best. She hopes that she gets some gifts out of this, too. The part of the wedding that she is most excited for is to sleep through the whole thing.
Ahmed Hussain
Best Man
Since playing matchmaker freshman year at UVA, Frank’s four-year roommate Ahmed has been (im)patiently waiting for his best friends to get married. He’s working as an electrical engineer in Washington, D.C. while studying for his Master’s degree, and in his free time enjoys reading and traveling. The part of the wedding that he is most excited for is to enjoy a beautiful summer weekend in Charlottesville and to partake in shenanigans with the groomsmen.
Anna Sheriff
Maid of Honor
Anna Sheriff has been looking forward to Audrey and Frank’s wedding for about as long as Audrey has. Anna and Audrey grew up in the same neighborhood in Williamsburg, Virginia, where they met in preschool — and have never stopped having sleepovers since. The part of the wedding that she is most excited for is to see how beautiful Audrey looks in her dress and cry lots (and lots) of happy tears.
Wally Becker
Groomsman
Wally Becker is Cool Dude #2 - after his brother Frank J. He is talented at fixing just about anything! Feel free to bring this up at the reception. The part of the wedding that he is most excited for is generating new business and dessert.
Slade Woo
Groomsman
Slade and Frank have been causing problems since they met in second grade. They both share a love for art and design. Slade graduated from Virginia Tech’s School of Architecture in 2024 and has been designing houses in Charleston, South Carolina since then. Outside of work he enjoys going skiing and cooking up music on his laptop. The part of the wedding that he is most excited for is to visit Charlottesville again and to hang out with Frank and Ahmed.
Katherine Becker
Bridesmaid
Katherine Becker has been thrilled about having Audrey around since Frank J started dating her. She is an English major at CNU and will be going into her senior year in the fall. She loves learning (especially about literature and linguistics), creating, and dancing to One Direction. The part of the wedding that she is most excited for is getting a new sister!
Olivia Hale
Bridesmaid
Olivia was Audrey’s roommate at UVA for 2.5 years, but she wishes it was for 2,500 years. She will be starting medical school this summer and is crossing her fingers that she’ll still be within a few hours’ drive of Audrey and Frank. The part of the wedding that she is most excited for is getting to know the future Beckers’ nearest and dearest people in such a beautiful, cozy venue (or the wedding cake).
David Root
Father of the Bride
David Root cannot possibly be prouder of the young woman that Audrey has become. Working constantly on his craft, he has committed over 20 years of his life to perfecting the dad joke. Can't stop, won't stop. He was successful in sharing his passion for the Washington Capitals, and he and Audrey have attended about a dozen games together. He has one parenting objective remaining - his job is not complete until Audrey can sing Judas Priest's "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" from memory.
Regina Martin
Mother of the Bride
Regina Martin is thrilled to witness Audrey and Frank get married on this special day! She is a professor at William & Mary. She is married to Theodore (Ted) Martin, an artistic and compassionate man. She enjoys collaborative cooking, walking, and playing chess. She and Ted serve Flower's cousins, the ZZ girls (also known as Zillie and Zoey). The part of the wedding that she is most excited for is to see Reverend Susan Goodin joining these two sweet souls.
Frank Becker
Father of the Groom
Frank Becker, Sr. has worked at Collegiate School as a science teacher and technology and engineering integrator for the past 27 years. He loves working with children and watching them learn how to figure things out. His greatest joy in life is his family, and his three (soon to be four) children. He loves spending time getting closer to God, especially though things like camping, sailing, and Mass. The part of the wedding he is most excited for is watching Audrey and Frank J make a commitment to one another in front of God and their families.
Liza Becker

Liza Becker just loves having Audrey as the newest member of the family! She thinks of Audrey as their missing puzzle piece. Liza loves her job as an elementary school counselor and enjoys spending time outside walking and gardening when she can. The part of the wedding that she is most excited for is having all of the family together to celebrate these two precious people.
