If you’re around Saturday morning, stop by Market Square for coffee and a pastry at the country’s oldest continuously-held farmers’ market. Plus, hop on the free King Street Trolley to easily get around and see all that Old Town has to offer.
Located just outside Old Town, Del Ray is known for its great food, welcoming community, and unique local character. Centered around Mount Vernon Avenue, it’s a lovely spot to enjoy brunch, browse charming shops, or take a stroll to see colorful murals. Our welcome party will be hosted at Hi-Fi, so if time allows, come early to explore the avenue and enjoy everything that makes Del Ray special.
Take a scenic ride along the Potomac River on the Potomac Water Taxi (tickets required). Travel from Old Town Alexandria to The Wharf, Georgetown in D.C., or even National Harbor in Maryland. It’s a relaxing and unique way to enjoy the waterfront and see the area from a different perspective.

Spend the day strolling the National Mall to see iconic monuments, exploring world-class museums, or discovering the city’s vibrant neighborhoods.
Visit the home of Alexandria's most famous former resident, George Washington. The estate features the historic mansion, extensive gardens, a museum, and a working farm. It is a beautiful spot to soak up some history and enjoy the riverside scenery. Fun fact: Our wedding venue, River Farm, was originally part of Washington's Mount Vernon Estate.
