If you didn't already know, Kenzie and Cisco met online, but it wasn't just a dating app. It was a mutual app called "The Beartaria Times" it was an alternate social app to share things like homesteading, gardening tricks and overall very wholesome content meant to put a light on "The good, the true, and the beautiful." Which is the motto for this app. It was something that both Cisco and Kenzie were looking for in life. It really set up the understanding that there was a very good chance they were going to have similar goals or values. Cisco came across Kenzie's profile one day in April, and decided "maybe I should start a conversation." Lucky for both of them Kenzie accepted the message request. From that moment on, the talking never stopped. The chatting on the app was for a couple days and then they moved to talking on Instagram and Snapchat. Not long after that came the very first video call. Things started clicking right away, calls, texts, facetime and inevitably feelings started forming. When that happened is when they new they had to tell people about it. Parents and friends were of course unsure and assumed that it would be something that would fade away. Then came the day when Cisco said "I am buying a plane ticket to come meet you and your family." It didn't really feel real until the day that Cisco sent Kenzie the screenshot of the confirmed flight. The day they met was so nerve wracking, I mean this stranger from Canada was actually right there ready and willing to meet Kenzie's entire family. That day they said "I love you" and all the worries washed away, the feelings were magnified and they new it was something authentic. They also knew it was meant to be because Cisco came to visit in the hottest time of year for St. George. The first time that Kenzie went to Canada was also the first time she had ever been out of the country, and to think she went in the middle of winter. Safe to say they can handle the extremes. More and more flights came after that, meeting and gaining trust of both family and friends. Sharing passions and goals together. Kenzie has since picked up ice skating and is not too shabby for a desert rat, Cisco has gained a great love of pickle ball and the beautiful red rocks of southern Utah. Real growth between them both, they've overcome the difficulties of long distance and they are the embodiment of "absence makes the heart grow fonder." They have had to always choose each other, they have to choose to make time, save money, travel miles to see each other. Everyone had their doubts, their worries, their fears, and they were all put to rest. We can see the love in their eyes and just how much joy they've brought into each others lives. They are pretty damn perfect for each other and we cannot wait to celebrate them living their happily ever after.
