Unfortunately we are at capacity at our venue with the adults we wish to share our day with, so we cannot accommodate any additional guests (+1s) that are not listed on the invitation.
The venue is located west of Charleston in Hollywood, SC. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Moxy Charleston Hotel and Holiday Inn Express US 17/I-526. Please refer to the Travel page for room block information. If you are looking into a beach house, any of the three beaches (Isle of Palms, Sullivans, or Folly) will be about 35-50 minutes depending on traffic. Downtown Charleston is nothing short of hotels and rental homes (Airbnb/VRBOs) and is an easy 25 minute access to our venue. There are also some Airbnbs/VRBOs located in West Ashley or Johns Island that are closer to the venue, but in a more suburban setting. Uber and Lyft are very accessible in Charleston. They access the beach towns, but might require extra pick-up time.
Yes! Please follow valet staff for parking directions. Those who plan to enjoy some adult beverages please please please do not drink and drive. Ubers/Lyfts drive out to our wedding venue. You can leave your car overnight but it must be picked up by Noon the next day. There will be transportation at the end of the evening. A pair of shuttles will leave at 8:45pm to take guests to (1) Moxy Charleston Downtown hotel and (2) Holiday Inn Express hotel. The remaining shuttles will leave at the conclusion of the party and will take guests to (1) Moxy Charleston Downtown hotel and (2) Holiday Inn Express hotel and (3) afterparty with the bride and groom downtown Charleston!
While we love all the important children in our life, we have decided to keep the wedding celebration to adults only, besides niece and nephews of the Bride and Groom. We hope you would use this weekend as a couples trip away; or bring a baby sitter for Friday night! Kids are welcome to other weekend festivities.
The final date for RSVP collection is August 4th. It is important that we provide our vendors with the final guest count and menu selections in the stated time. If we do not receive yours in time, we will miss your presence, but unfortunately there will not be a seat or a dinner plate for you.
We are requesting an attire of Semi-Formal/Cocktail attire. Think midi-/full-length cocktail dresses for the ladies, and suits for the gents. We want to see our guests dressed to impress! Charleston is known for fun-floral, vibrant dresses, but this is not required. The bridesmaids will be wearing light blue if that is important for you not to match the bridal party. Please reserve white for the bride; and no golf polos or jeans. Note: all of the events will be held outside. The ceremony will take place on light gravel, so a chunkier heel is suggested for women.
