FAQs

We hope these FAQs clear up any questions or concerns! Please call or text us if you need help with anything.
Question

Was the venue damaged from Hurricane Helene?

Answer

No! Our venue was not damaged by Hurricane Helene. The owner of the Poplars said it was "a miracle." While we are so grateful that our wedding plans were not affected by the hurricane, we're heartbroken for the loss that Western NC has suffered. During your stay, please consider supporting local and family owned businesses in the area!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is formal. We want to see our guests dressed up and looking festive for Spring! Consider wearing a maxi or midi dress. Pastels and floral prints would look lovely. Please do not wear white, ivory, red, or neon. Men should wear dress pants and ties (and shirts of course). Light colored or navy suits are welcomed.

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

No, we opted not to do a gift registry. Although there will be a table for gifts and cards at the wedding, we hope our guests don't feel it's necessary to bring one. Your presence is the best gift of all!

Question

Are kids and plus-ones welcome?

Answer

While we wish to host everyone, our venue is limited to 100 guests. Please refer to names printed on the invitation envelope for your invited party.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

The deadline to RSVP is March 1, 2025. We will send out a reminder if you haven't RVSP'ed when the deadline nears, however, if you do not RSVP by the deadline, we will no longer be able to accommodate you.

Question

How early can I arrive at the venue?

Answer

Early birds are welcome! You might be saddled with some last minute chores, but please feel free to arrive as early as 4PM. With the winding roads and long travel distances, arriving early and safely is preferred. We expect most of our guests to start arriving by 4:30PM for our 5:00PM ceremony start time.
